Tonight I might try and put together tacos. Everyone must be tired of take-out and leftovers by now. So, tacos is the simple solution.
What's on your menu?
Have a great day everyone.

I finally made the pork cutlets last night so I'll stop talking about them now Dd#1 is also known as Picky #1 and requested Teriyaki Grilled Chicken and Veggie Rice Bowls which we've had once before ... it actually has veggies so I'm all over that Dd#2 (Picky #2) wasn't crazy about it but I know she'll at least eat the rice ... or she can make something else for herself

Roasted half of a chicken, candied yams, and cranberry sauce. Have some green beans I need to use up too so will fix those.

I am going to venture into the dinner threads. Honestly I hate to cook but with my DH having all these food allergies I need some ideas. I've got a pot of chili in the crockpot today. I love chili and this weather is just perfect for it.

No school events tonight, so I will actually have time to cook! I'm thinking of Honey Mustard Chicken, brown rice, and maybe steamed broccoli for the vegetable.

She is allergic to all nuts, oats, corn, pork, bananas, avacado, is on limited rice, and has to follow the night shade list (foods high in histamine). So no papaya, bell pepper, very limited tomato, no strawberries, etc.

We are to eliminate all this from his diet for the next three months then introduce them one at a time to gauge whether he has a reaction.

Change of plans here because I forgot that dd#1 starts her new job at Starbucks tonight so won't be home for dinner ... I'll make the Teriyaki Bowls on Thursday when she is home Instead, I'm giving a Facebook recipe that dh suggested a shot ... the dude hates most things made with ground beef but he loves bacon so hopefully they cancel each other out Stuffed Onion Bombs ... I'll serve them with a Caesar salad ... definitely not a healthy meal tonight but who the hell cares sometimes right?

I pulled beef stew that I made a few weeks ago out of the freezer. I'm almost completely weaned off the steroids I've been on since spring, so it's time to start losing the weight I gained while on them. My dinners are about to be very, very sad.

DH is out for dinner with his work team, so I'm going to throw together something quick. I have some leftover chicken from Saturday's roast, which I'll mix with some broccoli and cream to make a sort of Alfredo sauce, then cook up some pasta and grate heaps of cheese on top.

I'm trying spaghetti squash for the first time! 😬 Going to cook it in the IP and then do a garlic and butter sauce that I saw online somewhere.
I might bake some chicken for some protein as well. And Texas toast. 😊

I was thinking about some kind of frittata. But there's still leftover Italian beef besides what I froze, and it was a big hit for dinner last night. Of course, that's no guarantee he would still like it tonight. Anyway, something.

After last night's meatless soup/sandwich 'not-a-dinner' dinner, I will restore balance in the universe by making a taco tater tot casserole.

Thanks, leannec for the link. I have some leftover chicken to defrost and then I'll make the teriyaki sauce and rice bowl in that recipe and combine it all. Looks good!

We are either doing tacos or pizza. New place by work has buy one large pizza, get on half off. BUT, that's a lot of pizza for the 3 of us! I have just a bit of left over turkey that I want to make some sort of casserole with. Any ideas, ladies? And welcome to the dinner table, jeremysgirl! I dislike cooking but really dislike the planning and shopping more. It's nice to come here and get some ideas.

jeremysgirl, nice to see you on the dinner thread! Welcome! Tonight it's going to be spaghetti pie and caesar salad, so the kids will be happy. They were none too pleased with my taquitos and Mexican street corn salad from last night. I, on the other hand, loved it all, especially the margarita I made to enjoy with it! I read on here once of someone who has a firm rule of not making tacos without also making a margarita. I have adopted that rule in our house!!!
