I'm using some page protectors this morning that I've had for a while, and they are kind of cloudy looking and have a slight film on the inside of the protector. Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening? The film sort of wipes off with a microfiber cloth, but it's a pain to do that and sometimes if I'm not super careful it crinkles the plastic.

Were they a name brand? I think PL brand had issues at one time, but not sure what the issues were. Were they acid-free? I used to buy office brand 8.5x11's that were a bit cloudy (anti-glare?), but switched to clear ones. Sorry I'm not really any help. If it bothered me a lot, I'd probably save them for use with the fuse tool and buy new. Or keep them in a container to pull out while watching TV and clean them then. Hope someone can shed some light on the situation for you.

I had that problem with Avery brand sheet protectors. I called the company. They sent me a new box of sheet protectors. Sadly the new protectors had the same issue.
I switched to C-Line brand. C-Line protectors have retained their clarity.

Most of my Becky Higgins page protectors are cloudy. I didn't notice until I bought another brand. Simple Stories aren't cloudy. I really like them and they come in a wide range of configurations.

I have some old Studio Calico ones that are a bit cloudy - just the material that's been used. The newer ones are definitely clearer.

This is a real issue for me too. I spend a fortune getting good quality photo prints only to have them look blurry and faded once they are in their "protectors". Scrapbook Writer - do you have a good resource for the C-Line brand? I'm not familiar with them. Thanks.
