Is to talk me out of buying this skirt. I am 5'8", so can do maxi skirts fine. I love them. So, the length isn't the problem. It is the brightness of the pattern. I know that it is too young for my 53 self. But I love it, just love it, and keep coming back to it. So, please talk me out of it. Convince me I'd look the fool. It won't be hard, I promise! *** UPDATE *** I caved and bought it. But I do appreciate the Brady Bunch references, etc., so if you have more, please share!

It's a cute print.

What does age have to do with it? Buy it! Wear it with a smile and a hint of sass! It isn't about age, it is about personality.

Actually I think inappropriate age clothing is all about the style and the fit...not the pattern. I don't think patterns or bright colours are ever "too young" (or too old)...if you're planning to team it with 12 inch white studded stilettoes and a crocheted bikini top, then I'd tell you to skip it....but otherwise I say buy it. With sandals and a red or white t-shirt this is still appropriate for a 53yo.

I love it! I think you should buy it, and a cute pattern like that has no age limit

Um.
It looks like the outside of a fourth grade girl's binder... all pink and full of daisy stickers.
Does that help?

If I had the height, this 52year old would buy it.

How cute! As long as you pair it with a solid color top, you should be fine. Where is it for sale?

I love it - buy it!
I think what you wear with it is going to be the make it or break it on the age aspect

I like. We seem to be enabling YOU instead of dissuading you. This isn't going like you planned.... or is it? ETA I liked above post for the Jan Brady crack. 'cuz, well it does. But I'm ok with that.

Oh, girl. Girl, I love you, but no. Girl, nuh-uh.
That pattern is not okay.
Don't do it! It's not that it's too young, it's just... the colors don't "go." There's something not right about it.

It's adorable. If I was 5'9" I would wear it and I'm a lot older than 53. It definitely is not too young for you.

Does it bring you joy? It's not age inappropriate at all. But I'm 50, so definitely in the "wear what you like without giving a damn" age group.

How cute! As long as you pair it with a solid color top, you should be fine. Where is it for sale? Thanks! It will definitely be paired with a solid colored top - probably white or the right shade of pink. I bit the bullet and bought it off of Poshmark, one place that you can buy LuLaRoe without joining FB groups or bidding on eBay. It is a LLR maxi skirt. Sadly that means there isn't another one there right now, in that pattern, but I'll keep my eyes open. Um. It looks like the outside of a fourth grade girl's binder... all pink and full of daisy stickers. Does that help? It does! And since I was in elementary school in the 60s and 70s, I had binders AND lunch boxes that looked just like it. I think that is part of the attraction. Buy it! I love it and I'm 42! Link p,ease, I think I need this in my life. It is a LuLaRoe maxi skirt I found at Poshmark, so it is a one only. Since I don't do stilettos or bikini tops, I think I'm safe.

I vote no. I lived through the seventies. I didn't like all of the flower prints then and don't care for them now. The no votes on this thread are cracking me up though.

I'm not a fan. Looks like it belongs to Jan Brady. Totally! It definitely does. I grew up setting aside Friday nights as being unschedule-able because of Nanny & the Professor, followed by The Brady Bunch, followed by The Partridge Family. The actress who played Cindy Brady went to my school (one year ahead of me). I love all things Brady.
