I think I'll go for Lift and Separate - I haven't read a book with a bit of humour for ages!

Ok, I stepped out of my reading comfort zone and went with the sci-fi thriller, Ocean of Storms.

I think I'll go for Lift and Separate - I haven't read a book with a bit of humour for ages! That looks good - a couple of those picks are different from the U.S. Kindle First Books for November. I would like Lift and Separate - sounds funny. Do you think I can order the Kindle First from the UK site even though my Kindle is registered with the US site? Has anyone tried before? Save

Just in case you were wondering....I tried and couldn't get it from the UK site, it said "Title is not available for purchase". The book is available on the US site but isn't free this month (it is $3.99 and has a 12/1 release date) - oh we'll, I tried. I think I will get "Walk Into Silence"

Thanks to poster who posted the US link. In previous months people seemed to be discussing the same books so I assumed the choices were the same for us all. I think I'll go for Lift and Separate too.

I'm a new Kindle app user. What is the "kindle first" list? If you are a Prime customer then one of the benefits you get is a free monthly book from a selection of about six. The UK and US selections are linked further up the thread. The books are due to be released next month so you get a chance to read them early. The book list changes on the first of the month. If you are not a Prime member you can still buy any of the books at a reduced price, 99p in the UK.

I got Walk into Silence and didn't look close enough and see it's part of a series! I'm not a fan of those.

It's funny, if I had been paying attention and noticed it was going to be a series I would have gotten it. I love series. When you read this, please let us know what you think of it on a weekly reading thread. I went with The Odds of Loving Grover Cleveland. It sounds cute.

My issues with series 1) Sometimes they are released far apart, I forget things. 2) I prefer to mostly borrow books. I have to love an author or hear rave reviews to buy one. Typically my online lending library doesn't continue the series, so I would have to buy the additional books. My public library is tiny and there is a lending system with an equally small library.

I hate long waits between books in a series! I have the worst memory. I'm going to need a refresher on the last Outlander and Game of Thrones books for sure when the next ones finally come out. J.D. Robb books are easy since there's not a lot of story line to remember from book to book, just the same set of main characters. I don't know where you live, but in Colorado, now you can get library cards in other counties. Sometimes I can find things on Denver Counties Overdrive site that I can't get from my county (and I was able to sign up completely online. Bonus!). I'm going to sign up for another county nearby when I get around to going into one of their branches b/c they make you go in a branch with ID to complete sign up.

Walk into Silence was utter tripe. Truly awful. I'm just glad I didn't pay for it.
