I know this is really early, but I need to leave soon to do a little grandparenting, and since the links I want to use are on my home computer, I decided to just go ahead and do tomorrow's prompt.
Day TWO prompt: FAMILY.
I realize that there are days our families can be the source of a lot of stress, anger, worry and tears. But for today, I want to remember those times that these people were the source of support, laughter, and love, and feel totally amazed that of all the people in the universe, THESE individuals are part of MY life. No one else knows me like they do and loves me anyway. No one else has forced me so much to learn and grow and accept and become the strongest me I can be.
Let's take a day to be incredibly thankful for these people.
I have done my page for this, but need to print the photo I want to put on it. When I have that, I will photograph and link my page here.
These prompts are just that: prompts. If they are useful, use them. If you have your own agenda for any day--or all of them--go ahead, dance to your own drummer.
If you can create something to express a response to this prompt--or to your own--wonderful! If you get to do some pen & paper or electronic journaling, great! If you manage to simply think about something you are grateful for today, that is enough. If you want to share your thoughts &/or your creations &/or your words, please do. If not, no pressure.

I love this prompt and will use it for my Day 2 as well. Mine will focus on my parents. Grateful they are still alive and still mentally and physically agile in their '70's. They called me today, rare for a weekday, and I spent my lunch hour talking to them. Will record for tomorrow.

I am attaching my Day two page. It features a rare photo of all 4 of my kids. They were all at a funeral, and I quickly gathered them together for a photo just as one was leaving for home. Then my dil grabbed my phone and told me to "Get in there" so she could include me in the pic. Dh was still in the hall, and there was no time to call him. The occasion was a sad one, but I am grateful that all of them chose to be there with me. I had very little space for journaling, so I punched a hole in a journaling card to insert some ribbon and tucked it behind the photo matt. Attachments:

Love your layout and especially the picture of you and your kids! I'm going to get one of DH, me and my three kiddos on Thanksgiving day. I made a list last night to make sure I wouldn't forget anyone/thing. Today was DH. We've been married 30 good years and I am so very thankful for him!

Here is my day 2 page of my DH. He wasn't happy to have his pic taken today while he was working so I will just show the front side. I love him just the way he is, so I wanted him in that moment. I am not one to really journal, but I guess I should. Great that you found a way to include a photo and still honour his wishes. I love celebrating everyday blessings, and it sounds like he is one of those.

Last weekend I managed to get all three of my kids in the same state for an entire afternoon. (The 2 oldest are in colleges in different states.) We stopped at a park and I took a bunch of casual pictures. Woohoo! They were all such happy participants too. I'm sure they knew how much it meant to me. My sweet husband is the one who suggested a park. It was such a perfect day. I am truly grateful for my family.

Now you have not only the memory of a great family experience, but you have the photos to prove it! Hope you can share the photo(s) or maybe your gratitude page(s) using them. As the "kids" get older, it gets harder and harder to get everyone in one place, much less into one photo!

I am so grateful for my children. The last few years due to things that have happened I have seen them step up and help out and the compassion they have learned has been wonderful. I still wish they never had to go through what they did but they have grown lots.

Yikes, I forgot yesterday
Well I will spend today being thankful for two things (day 3 prompt memories) and this prompt - family.
I am very thankful for family. Although my family is not very close. There are a few of us that have remained in each others lives and I would consider that we are close. Especially my sister Jai. She is eight years older and with us having a single parent who worked to jobs, she sort of became my second mom. I was not the nicest of children - In fact my family use to say I was as bad as the little girl in the film The Bad Seed.....she was a murder, I was NOT that bad - LOL, but I was pretty awful. But my sister has always forgiven me for my transgressions and we have grown very close over the years. It is unfortunate that 11 years ago she chose to move to Iowa (I live in New Mexico) so at a time in our life where we could spend hours crafting together (she quilts), chatting and talking about memories, we are alas too far apart.
I admire families who are close, who visit each other often or live near each other so that they are apart of each other's daily lives.

I think I'll do one about my kids. Right now, seems to be an okay place with them. Better scrap before the feeling ends!
