Goodies being made by the Peas! The blanket I posted last week is a present for a friend, I'm in the middle of a scarf for another friend, I have 3 different balls of yarn to do 3 more scarves although I might have to chose a different pattern as I'm not really enjoying the one I've started, I'll be starting something for my sister very soon and I think that's about it on the present front. I've nearly finished a couple of knitted jumpers I'm doing for the DGDs and I finished this little vest for DGD2 on Tuesday. I started it on Sunday night and it makes up very quickly. The pattern is Ring Around The Rosie by The Lavender Chair. Love the vest that you made for your DGD! I just finished a wrap for myself in the same yarn - I used the one that has purples in it though. Such fun yarn to work with! I absolutely love the Ring Around the Rose pattern. I have made a couple of wraps from patterns from The Lavender Chair this fall - she has nice patterns.

not really yard but felted wool. I'm making a bunch of xmas gnomes from wool sweaters I'm shrinking down. I did owls a few years ago and this year it's gnomes.
if I have time, I'm going to crochet a few beanies for my nieces. Would love to see your felted work. Butterfly Momma yes, the yarn is nice to use. Maybe I shouldn't have chosen it for a child's top but I wanted those particular colours. I've seen a few adult sized versions that I like a lot and think I'll do one for me next year.

I have a crochet project bag in my car with a cowl in progress...not for anyone in particular, but just something to keep handy if I'm waiting somewhere. I wish I would have brought the peacock yarn to work -- I could have worked on the feathers on my lunch hour!

I'm working on a hat for a door prize for a craft show I'm participating in. The only gifts I'm making are washcloths made from Red Heart's new scrubby yarn. I need to get cracking on those. Part of me is hoping that the family get together is later or even on a date where we can't attend because I really do not want to go.

I just ran across this adorable blog. She actually has a children's book out that corresponds with the patterns, so the story can be acted out. Thinking about Christmas for my niece but she's 3 1/2, do you think that's too old?

I'm making a Marius-genser (Marius sweater) for my nephew. My mom suddenly got the bright idea that my niece and nephews should get sweaters for jul.....except after the first one her arms hurt so much there was no way she could make the other two. To be honest, I find the pattern extremely boring (it is wildly popular in Norway), and I'm so happy that I will probably finish the last one this weekend.

Enabler alert for crocheters: Amazon has a set of 10 Clover Armour hooks for $31.13 right now. I had them in my wish list for the last few weeks and they were priced at around $41. I noticed when I looked yesterday that the price had dropped about 25% to the $31 price. The only brick and mortar store near me to carry the set is JoAnn and they're $75ish there. With a 60% coupon, you could get the set down to about $30. There's a 60% coupon out there now for their Veterans Day sale, but I don't know if the set is in the list of exclusions. I love these hooks. The grip is very comfortable for my hand and the tip holds the yarn on the hook nicely and glides easily through the yarn. Here's the Amazon set: Clover hooks

No gifts but am knitting.
I bought what I thought was cool yarn and it is not cool yarn. It is that netted yarn. Impossible to crochet unless making the ruffle scarf. So I am knitting with it. However big it gets with what I have, that will be it.

the colors in your blanket are very nice. Is that a multi-colored skein or are you using different skeins? It looks like I can see some of the colors transition into the next color. It is a beautiful effect.

I love how the colors changed. That yarn was a dream to work with. First time I've used it.

I have made my very first hat! Despite knitting and sewing most of their clothes when my boys were young, I don't think I have ever made a hat, not even a baby's bonnet. This only took a couple of hours so is very quick and easy. The pattern is a free download from Ravelry. I absolutely love the yarn, both the colours and the softness. It's King Cole Corona Chunky in Carmine from Wool Warehouse. It's for my son's partner for part of her Christmas present. He has asked for a couple of hats too so I'm looking at other patterns.

Love the hat! Thanks for posting a link to the pattern. I've been doing a bunch of hats for my granddaughters' presents and it's been trial and error with some patterns. I've found that Kathy Lashley of Elke Studio writes nice patterns. I just finished a couple more and will post pics when I get a chance. txsweetpea...I didn't know if boot cuffs were still in, so thanks for posting. Next on my to-do list.

I am taking a quilt top to my long arm quilter lady. It is for my dgc. I also made a cute bath robe for her. I used the same fleece for the backing as the bath robe & it was a complete fluke that I found matching little slippers.
I also made a tree skirt for my friend.
All of the pictures of the creativity look wonderful.

This is the yarn I used. It is the stuff they make ruffle scarves with. When I bought It I thought it was more of a ribbon type flat yarn. Attachments:

That stuff is on clearance everywhere, and some of it is such pretty colors I've felt such a shame that it wasn't being used. Never thought to do something like that with it. Did you just use a large hook? That looks so cool!!!!

flute4peaceI used really big needles. ( circular). I think they are 15 or 16. It took 30 skeins. I bought 6 bags (5 to a bag) when craftwarehouse was having a tent sale. It was $2 a bag. I casted on 100, and just knitted until the yarn was gone.
