So, time for a lighter thought. Day FOUR prompt: Life's little luxuries. What are yours? I am constantly amazed by those of you who have kids growing up in your home, those of you who work full time, volunteer to help others, yet somehow find time to craft. For you, I have a little joke I found on line: Santa: Young Mom, what would you like for Christmas? Mom: I would like a magical unicorn. Santa: That might be a bit of a stretch. Isn't there something else I could bring you? Mom: Okay. Maybe enough time in the day to drink one hot cup of coffee? Or think a whole thought? What about if you could arrange for me to go to the bathroom BY MYSELF to pee? Santa: What colour unicorn would you like? Today, I am incredibly grateful for life's little luxuries. I can go for coffee once in awhile without wondering what else I have to give up. I have time to read, watch TV and play with paper. While on vacation, I dreamed of having a Tim Hortons coffee. The other day I got to order one and sit and savour it until it was gone. Ahhh... Attachments:

This is a really good prompt. I shop far too much to have a little luxury (shopping is a coping mechanism for stress) but I really like this one. I am not sure if/when I'll record it, but happy mail is on my list if I get a good order in or something. I really like your titling, though. For me, new scrap goodies is my life's luxury. I might borrow your phrasing for my title when I get there, even if it's not really a little habit I have, lol. Today's is going to go up late. I couldn't find anything to record before getting my son from school and after that, we've been busy. This is my down time (kids are getting baths) before hubby and I start our mad dash of cleaning. My day 3 will have to wait until tomorrow to be finished. Depending on how nice the house looks (not having high hopes at this point) tomorrow might end up being 'clean-ish house' in my album.

I'm definitely going to have a yummy cup of hot tea in this album. I have NO idea how I'd make it through the day without a couple of pots...
Scrapbooking (my joy) is on my list, also.
For the 4th I'm thankful for my mom. Tomorrow is her 69th birthday. It just so happens it's my dad and DH's dad birthdays tomorrow, also. She has many health issues, almost blind in the one eye she has, yet she is usually quite a happy person! How she sees to do her crafts, I'll never know.

Life's Little Luxuries - Yes, I must say I am quite thankful that I have the means to be able to enjoy some of Life's Little Luxuries.....and I all to often forget that there are so many people who can not enjoy these wonderful Little Luxuries, either because of lack of funds/axes or because they are unwilling to find thankfulness in them.
My list of Life's Little Luxuries that I am most thankful for - Indoor Plumbing, Electricity, Heated Dwelling, these three things alone make life sooooooo much easier, think how hard it would be to live without these things. Everything else is icing on the cake the good things that happen as well as the difficult things, they are all better/easier because we have access to these basic necessities.

This is a luxury I am grateful for every year. I grew up in an old house that really only has heating in two rooms and we could see our breath in the house on cold mornings. I feel the cold so I love my ducted heating.

My little luxury is I try each morning to have quiet time by myself. I make a cup of hot tea and sit on the deck or kitchen and just enjoy the quiet.
