Day FIVE prompt: NATURE
Today I used my page to express my gratitude for all the natural beauty that surrounds us. I feel incredibly blessed to live in the country where I can take walks, breathe fresh air, and am surrounded by peace. This weekend promises some above average temperatures, so hoping to get outside for awhile. (I am also grateful that this prompt led me to use some of my FALL pp stash, but that's another story )

Thoroughly grateful for Nature (see my full post under the Pokey Peas thread)
Being in Nature makes me feel exhilarated and relaxed, excited and peaceful, all at the same time. There is no better place for me to be, and I often struggle with the fact that I am unable to be immersed in Nature all the time. These negative thoughts about not being in Nature often prevent me from feeling grateful about it. I loose my creative mojo, I struggle in all aspects of my life, and I really have to work hard to get out of that funk and find the joy in other things. I have just recently gone through one of these periods of struggle, and I am trying really hard to keep my mind on the positive, and not let myself fall into the "poor me's" because I can't go play in Nature all of the time. I am truly blessed I have experienced so many beautiful sights (photos on the Pokey Peas thread), and I need desperately to remember that.

This is a great prompt for today. Our temperature was higher than normal (almost 70) and the sun was out all day

Due to a devastating array of circumstances, about 9 months ago I moved to a cabin in the middle of the redwood forest. It took some getting used to, but there is no denying that this must be one of the most beautiful places around. The redwoods and madrones soar up a hundred feet on all sides and deer and skunks and coyotes and squirrels and birds think nothing of wandering right up to the house. I admit I had a difficult time adjusting to the move. I miss flowers and sunshine and blue sky (and my old life), but the forest is definitely growing on me.
