I was in Gamestop yesterday, and by the registers there are layaway ads. They are heavy weight and glossy.
I just wanted to share how I fussy cut video gaming embellishments out of the ad for anyone else that wanted to do it.
I fussy cut the "Joy To The Players" banner, the DS, and the half a XBOX controller. Then I used my Martha Stewart scalloped circle punch on the two snowflakes in red. I figure I can tuck the half embellishes into embellishment clusters.
I'll use these embellishments on a Christmas layout for my kid if (read: when) Santa brings her video games for Christmas.

My DH is a big board games guy. Every time he gets a new one and punches out all of those cardboard pieces, I end up using the leftover frames for doodling and masks.

LavenderLayout- I LOVE IT. As a gamer I am just geeking out over your idea. I know what I am getting at GameStop this weekend, lol. If you go to GameStop again peek over at the Nintendo games. They had cute little puzzle books for free. If they don't have them out they might still have some in back or behind the counter.
I have a lot of video game paper ephemera I have saved from games but never thought about the ads. I really love your idea.
It is N7 day. For non-gamer's N7 is more important that election day. It is the day for Mass Effect, lol. Tell that to a Mass Effect fan and they will start laughing. EA showed off a lot of Mass Effect Andromeda today. GameStop's Game Informer magazine had a lot of information. I kept thinking I know what my next LO is going to be.

I like this idea. I used the outer packaging of Magic cards for a Magic layout and used one of the folded up maps inside as background paper. For a scrapbooker everything has a page possibility.
