Well, two more days actually since we won't know anything until tomorrow evening when the polls start to close. I've been on a news boycott so I only watch the local news first thing in the morning to find out the weather and traffic, then I go to BBC online for my international news. But yesterday I was browsing through the channels in the afternoon and found BBC on tv so I thought oh let's watch that. Turned it on, and the VERY FIRST story was Trump/Clinton. I turned it right off and watched "Alien" instead. I'd forgotten how suspenseful that movie is. I'm off work tomorrow because our schools are closed and I'm not doing on call at the hospital till the weekend. So I'm filling my day with a vet appointment and the grocery store and Petsmart and Target...lol. My dog will be happy because if the weather is cool enough she'll get to come on three out of four of those errands. The vet, obviously, and Petsmart also. But I only need two things in Target and she can wait in the car if it's cool. So I'll be doing all that and not watching the news. My dh and ds are planning to watch the returns via a conference call, because they like to fill in this map they have as various precincts report votes. Yeah, they're nuts. lol. I'll be watching via Twitter and Facebook, and also texting dd. Her apartment is having a small election party, just the four of them and three other friends from their building who don't have cable TV. Oh, and I almost forgot -- besides all those errands tomorrow I'll also be voting! hahaha (and no, I didn't "almost forget", I'm kidding...)

No I cannot stand it. I want tomorrow to be over already, and I am hoping beyond hope all the local channels remember to pull the fing ads after midnight on Wed morning. They are driving me batshit crazy. Mostly because none of the ads that we see are for the elections in our state, they're for the elections in Indiana!!!

Based on Brexit, I reckon you all need to start getting used to the idea of President Trump

I can't wait until it's over. However, will it be over after tomorrow? If HRC wins, will DT concede or will it be a whole new shitshow? No matter what the outcome, I can't believe anything will be much different on Wednesday. But I'm a pessimist like that.

I just want to go back to watching TV without holding the remote in my hand. I hit 'mute' as soon as a political commercial comes on... my pointer finger is getting a serious workout. And for those Florida Peas... If I ever hear "Fact checked and Verified" again, I'll slap someone. Really? Who checked? Who verified? Not that I really want to know... but really? Ha, I doubt it - but I'm doubting everything now.

I'm in a dreaded battleground state. I'm so tired of political ads. This morning I watched the 8:00-9:00 hour of my local news channel's morning show. Every single commercial was a political ad. Every. Single. One.

I'm more grateful than ever that I don't have cable TV. Just pull the plug...no frustrating political ads.

I'm just afraid it's not going to quietly die down after the election... I'd love to not hear a word about either of them for even just a week.

No matter what the outcome, I can't believe anything will be much different on Wednesday. But I'm a pessimist like that. The good news is that he doesn't have to concede. That is the biggest benefit of the Electoral College. They vote who they choose wins. End of story. (unless neither get 270 votes... ) Bad news that if there is less than a half percent difference than there is an automatic re-count.. which is what happened in Florida with Gore v. Bush. With so many states being so close, we could have more than a few that go to recount. But no matter what happens there will be discontent and accusations from either side.

I live in Washington, but just a few miles from Portland, OR and if I see one more Ron Wyden ad on Hulu....I can't vote for or against him since he's in the wrong state. Also yesterday I got a call (specifically for me) about voting for some issue. I voted over a week ago, stop calling! Also there were 8 political fliers in my mailbox Saturday. So tired of it all...

Can't wait. There are a few peas here that I think are on the verge of stroking out over this election. Same as people on my FB. Hopefully things won't be as bad as everyone fears, both sides. Life will go on as it always does. We will adapt and overcome. Hopefully in four years we will have some better candidates to choose from.

I gave up the news and Facebook last week. It was getting bad...friends being rude, pages I follow for cleaning/organizing, autism, recipes blasting their stance on the election, and being called a baby killing non Christian because I am not voting republican.
Blech. So over it.
Your opinion may be different then mine but don't go out and call others names and whatnot because we dont want to save all the voiceless babies. Holy shit.
I think I wont be back on FB till the weekend. I can only imagine the crap that will be said on Wed by the party who looses.

Tomorrow is the judgement day . . .
I feel lucky to not live in a "battleground" state in some ways, but I am so tired of all the nastiness all over the place this election. The memes alone make me want to go hide for another month.

Most overused term of the day? Battleground states. Those of us from one of them are really sick and tired of all of the visits from the candidates. It does sound very Xena, princess warrior though.

So tired of it all Since dh and I have voted from both parties we get calls from all of them all the time on all our phones! And of course that is in addition to the ads and the endless hours of TV coverage.

California is solidly blue right now so most of the tv ads here are for the tons of different measures and for local offices. we do have a US Senate race going but that's not even close. today I'm sitting down with my sample ballot to go over those measures so I don't slow down what will probably be a long and slow voting line tomorrow.

I had a full blown anxiety attack yesterday. No matter what the outcome I think this country has a lot to deal with in the coming years.

No matter what the outcome, I can't believe anything will be much different on Wednesday. But I'm a pessimist like that. If Hillary wins and Trump doesn't concede, he will further erode national support for the GOP. That will be the final nail in the GOP coffin.
As a nation we need a healthy vibrant multi party system to keep things in balance. The GOP's obstruction governance in the last 4 years has hurt the country and the party. Citizens want their elected officials to go to work, compromise, and get shit done.

I'm the odd man out then because I LOVE election seasons. The news cycle is fast and furious and not the same boring stuff repeated over & over. Everyone has an opinion and we turn off the TV and TALK to each other more. I treat it like NFL season I sport my team's colors, and wave my team's flag and trash talk the referees..ok the media actually. We love people who love our team and when it is over we still like the ones who supported the opponent once the dust settles. I love living in a swing state. There's so much energy and excitement. I get to see all the ads and I find some of them beautiful and inspiring (of course some are annoying and negative and played way too many times). Along the I-4 corridor here, there has been event after event these past couple weeks. It is like date night every day..."Want to go to the Trump rally tonight?"..."Let's go see Stevie Wonder & Obama at the stadium in town".. "Pence is in Daytona we could drive to the beach afterwards"... There is always something going on. Come Wednesday I'll be bored and missing all the excitement. It is like the build up of planning a wedding or a major vacation..then the let down afterwards with just your photos to look back through while you look forward to the next time. But that's just me..

I have had over 2 dozen political calls today from every single issue that could find my number. I wish you could put a blow horn on the machine when political calls come in.

It really is time to demand shorter campaigns. That seems like something everyone could agree on.
