I can't watch it right now, but I will DEFINITELY watch it later- as a former band geek (couldn't march with the oboe, so I played xylophone when we marched, lol) I love watching a marching band perform- thank you for posting it!

That was pretty amazing! -- I've always wondered how you march in those intricate formations and play an instrument at the same time. lol. My music participation was in the choir where we were encouraged to stand still. lol

There is nothing better than marching bands and halftimes. I used to be a drum majorette and twirler and tear up every time I hear one.
I wish the video were just a little longer. That was a lovely tribute to Nebraska's punter, Sam Foltz, that lost his life this summer.
Thank you so much for posting this!

Their band is treated like a sports team. They do practice hours a day. They also are issued "work out" / practice clothes (sweatsuits, etc.) just like the other teams. It is quite an honor to make it in - those kids are so incredibly good. Every time they show them do script Ohio on television, I tear up. I am taking my son to the Ohio State v Maryland game at Maryland on Saturday and can't wait to see the band in person again.

When I was a kid one of our favorite things to do was watch FAMU's marching band practice. I love half time shows.

My daughter will be at the game, I will tell her to make sure she watches! I went to Maryland and was in the band (on the pom squad but we performed pre-game and halftime with the marching band!). I love that watching your link, the crowd seemed to stay and watch the band instead of going to get food. Have fun at the game! I would love to go, but we live in Pgh. and we went to Maryland for the Minnesota game a few weeks ago. It would have been fun to "meet" you at the game! Tell Ohio State to go easy on the Terps! The Ohio State band is amazing! You are right, they are the best band!

Thanks for posting this! As an OSU alum, lifelong fan, and former (high school) band geek, I love watching TBDBTL. Go Buckeyes! Have fun at the OSU-Maryland game, Elaine!

That was fun to watch. That's a huge band!
Signed, a former high school marching band geek (flute player)
My late in laws both attended Ohio State. In fact, they met while attending school there. My father-in-law went there on full scholarship as an Electrical Engineer.
Three cheers for Ohio State!

I was there! I was there! I bow down to their marching prowess. We were at the skull session before, and I was dying as they marched in with straight faces chanting "We are the buckeyes, we are killer nuts!" And Script Ohio was incredible.

Unless it's changed, I think bands only travel twice per season. That would have included Wisconsin and Penn State or if not, Michigan State. Fun trivia question. Who was the first marching band to perform Script Ohio?

That was amazing to watch. I can't imagine learning the routine, never mind playing the instrument while you run all over the place.
I was only ever lucky to watch a huge marching band in person once and it is beyond amazing. Congrats to all involved to make it happen.

Who was the first marching band to perform Script Ohio? You could be correct, although I have never watched an Ohio State game on television when the band wasn't there and I watch every single game. Maybe it isn't the full band with a halftime show, but at least some are there playing the fight song for touchdowns, etc. I had to google your question - I can't believe that that school up North's band was the first band to do Script Ohio (of sorts)! Eta: from Google:Eta, eta: bummer! I looked up their schedule and they won't be at the Maryland game because they will be marching in a band competition instead. Interestingly, they also don't use their own instruments. They are issued TWO instruments, one for practice and one for game day.
