So DS & I were talking about the arrest of a couple of classmates and he wasn't surprised about one because apparently the kid is a total "memer". In addition to being someone who creates memes, memer is also used to describe an angry kid with a bad attitude - who knew? Well, maybe you did, but I didn't. About a week ago there was a rumor circulating that a couple of kids were arrested for shop lifting at 7-11 and they were facing 8 years sentences. I told DS theres was definitely something missing from the story and, ah, it wasn't shoplifting but multiple armed robberies over a couple of months.

I've never heard the term "memer" and would have assumed that it was someone who shared a lot of memes LOL!

I just recently started hearing my son use that term in that way. And as we sit in the middle of the whole election bruhaha, I couldn't help but wonder if the move from one who memes to one who is angry might have come from the fact that more and more memes seem to be angry these days. I miss the days of funny, fluffy memes myself. I'm over seeing political memes for sure!

I've never heard memer. But there are apparently a lot around here who are "crusty"

DS said it the other day but I think he was describing a total idiot, and I assumed "memer" just referred to anyone someone might make a meme out of.
