Hi peas!
My DH and I are taking our two youngest kids and our exchange student to Hawaii in February and we are thinking it might be less expensive for lodging for the 5 of us if we use airbnb instead of a hotel. I was looking over some of the places available and thought I would ask here if anyone has used one on Oahu.
I would like to keep it under $150 a night, that would have to be the top of our price range. I have found a few, but not being familiar with the area, I'm unsure how great the locations are.
I know the peas know everything so I thought I would ask here for suggestions and opinions before I push the button to book one. Thanks!

We've recently been in Hawaii and I believe February is high season and very expensive. That said we've never done airbnb or specifically Oahu.
We try to go near to or in off season and I still have not seen any accommodations anywhere near $150 a night. We do like staying somewhere up to date and nice but aren't staying at the Four Seasons/St Regis type places.
We find most of the hotels even in off season run around $300 a night and doesn't include the parking, resort fees or taxes.
We've had good luck and typically try to rent a condo so we have more space and a kitchen to do some cooking there. The downfall of this is they typically have a cleaning fee of $200+ at the end of the stay.
