I need your best chocolate frosting/icing recipe! I had one. I can't find it.......it's on a piece of paper. The paper is lost or better yet the spot I put it in is lost!
Please share!
Thanks much!!

I do the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and a little milk. I beat it until fluffy and then add about three quarters of a cup of melted semi sweet chocolate chips. It tastes like fudge.

My favorite:
Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting:
6 tablespoons butter, softened
2 2/3 cups confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup half-and-half cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, for light flavor or 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, for medium flavor or 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, for a dark rich flavor. *I use 3/4 cup.
Makes 2 cups
Cream the butter in a small bowl.
Blend in the cocoa powder (the amount desired for a light, medium or dark flavor), vanilla, confectioner’s sugar, alternately with the cream.
Beat with an electric mixer, until the desired texture is achieved.
Note: because of the additional cocoa more cream may have to be needed to reach desired consistency.

I alway wing it but maybe a box(1lb?) of powdered sugar, a cube of butter, a teaspoon of vanilla and enough milk to make it spreadable. The semi sweet choc chips I use about a half to two thirds cup melted in the mico and beat that into the frosting. If you want a milk chocolate use less choc chip, if you like it darker use more. It sets up really well after you frost the cake and it is so easy.

I adore a whipped ganache (I usually prefer the ones that have some butter as well rather than just straight cream and chocolate.) My usual go to is butter cream with cocoa powder because it's easier.

I use the one on the back of the Hershey's cocoa box . It's really good. And easy.

I use the Hershey's cocoa recipe also. It's on the back of the container.

Here is mine that gets rave reviews, 1 stick of butter 1 block of cream cheese A 2 lb bag of powdered sugar Cream or milk as needed 1 small packet of instant coffee 1 c. Cocoa powder 1 Tbl vanilla
Dissolve coffee grounds in 1/4 c of milk/ cream. Cream butter and cream cheese until fluffy sift in the powdered sugar and cocoa powder mix in and add vanilla. Slowly add the milk until you get the desired consistency.
