To get anxious about election results? ? It goes back & forth, right?
Yes I know it's only 1% in 3 states. I need to just turn off my phone.

fortunately my phone is being wonky so I don't get the alerts just following on my computer and local news. It is a little nerve wracking no matter how it goes!! I just took a pain pill so I hopefully that will take the edge off!

From what I've read (and heard on tv or radio), the states that favor Trump will likely be among the ones to be called first, if that is comfort to HRC voters and caution to DJT voters.

Gosh I hope so.
And how can they assign Electoral College votes with such a small percentage reported?

I don't know the how they call it exactly (I knew but it went in and out my head like the voice of Charlie Brown's teacher) but do know (think) that they don't call it until poll is closed. So like Indiana closes @6pm and at 6:02.. Bam! They put it on the board. Couldn't people still be in line? I know it all works out in the end, and could possibly correct/change, but it can be maddening.

Very close in both Georgia and Virginia. I don't understand why they're even reporting on Virginia results based on two counties, neither of which is Fairfax or Arlington. You can't gauge anything based on Mechanicsville and Lynchburg.

My DH wanted to start drinking at 6. No way will I last to 11 at that rate but ABC just said Clinton campaign manager said it might be too close to call tonight. I hope he was just being conservative or they may not be enough alcohol in our house!

Gosh I hope so. And how can they assign Electoral College votes with such a small percentage reported? They're not assigning votes. A news organization has determined there's enough data for them to report a winner in that state. They're all looking at which precincts are reporting and how far ahead a candidate is and what exit polling is showing in other precincts. You'll find if you switch channels different organizations calling at different times. If they're wrong, they'll come on to say they're moving the state too close to call or to the opponent just ask Al Gore.

Now 24 - 3 for Trump.
They just said they go by states that " usually vote blue or red"
They are saying she will win Ohio, NC and Pennsylvania. But he is ahead in Virginia.

Too early. The big blue west coast states don't close for a few more hours. That makes for a lot of catch up votes.

I don't know how you guys are going to do this without stress! I'm stressed and I'm Canadian! The short answer: We're not! I'm practically hyperventilating at the thought of a four year Trump presidency. But again, i must tell myself, the night is young.

It may be early, but I will be completely shocked if Clinton doesn't win.
(And I say that having not voted for her or Trump.)

I'm already stressed! Watching with my son "how long will this take"
I do not like seeing Trump ahead in Florida (though I realize the way the reporting is done favors him early)
I will feel better once Clinton has some more wins

Those are all expected states. No way was Clinton going to win Kentucky lol It's three hours before polls even close on the west coast. It's unlikely they'll call it before then. At least take a nap.

I think it's the absentee ballots that start being counted first, I heard my news say they were waiting for 7:30 to " push the button" and I took that to mean the counting!
