I think her not speaking does nothing to start the mending process sorry just my opinion. Yes she can speak tomorrow but millions have been watching all night and hoping for a different result and I think they needed to hear her! You'd think she'd at least have thanked her people, right? Exactly! I wonder if she will regret that decision and also if BC had any influence on that decision.

He's 10 years old and it's 3 AM. He'd probably rather not be there.

He didn't do it... all of the people who voted for him did. And they are the ones I hold responsible. I'm actually ashamed to be an American right now.

Oh my gosh, I couldn't be ashamed to be an American no matter who won. I firmly believe that We The People are America. We have different people lead us every so many years, and at this time, America has chosen Trump to do that. If those that supported Clinton were truthful in that they want a better, kinder America, they need to keep that awesome attitude and we all need to come together and focus on the good things we can accomplish through teamwork.
I didn't vote for him but I'm going to make the best of it. Just as I would've if he had won.

Coming out of lurkdom just long enough to say I have a non-stop Victor Meldrew soundtrack playing through my head. My Brit peas and fans of Brit sitcoms from a couple of years back will understand. Peace.

But over half our country did vote for him and he is our president. I liked his speech and hope he can show more of that style. He seemed like he was humbled or just exhausted. But it was the best he's spoken so far.

And I heard that in Pennsylvania today, voting machines where people voted for Trump switched the vote to Hillary. Someone noticed it and told a poll worker and it was fixed, but how many people voted for Trump and had their votes changed, unbeknownst to them? I also heard a story on Pantsuit Nation where a woman and her husband were voting and a volunteer came in the booth with both of them and pushed the button for trump "to show them how it worked" or something like that. They called the police. I'm glad they did call the police! I was a poll worker for a couple of elections and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anytime I hear of issues like these from either side, it makes my blood boil.

He wasn't my choice, but was choice for an astounding portion of the country. All I can do now is pray for him to have good judgement. It's up to all of us to concentrate on healing.
I watched it live and was surprised by his good acceptance / victory speech.
I'm sorry Hillary didn't make an appearance last night. I'm sure she's crushed, but that was wimp move. It's bound to feed those who don't care for her and was disappointing to this supporter. I felt sorry for all of those waiting in person that Podesta sent home. So many tears.

As a Brit I am in total shock. I have met NO-ONE not one person in my little corner of the world that thinks anything but that Trump is a dangerous clown and Americans have lost their mind by even considering him. And believe me when I am toning down the actual tone and language used. And I am perfectly aware that Trump supporters in general don't give a toss about what anyone else in any other country thinks. I feel as sick now as I did after the Brexit vote. And I'm wondering how long it will take before people who did a 'stick it to the establishment' vote realise the enormity of what they actually voted for (which happened here with the Brexit vote after the reality set in). I only hope that the impact of his tenure is limited to the USA as far as possible. Sadly, I don't think it will. His economic policy will impact negatively several countries around the world, and that may impact the relationship those countries have with the USA. And his environmental policies are extremely concerning.
