Cbs just said that Florida is so close because over 200,000 voted 3rd party. Yes but almost all of those were for the Libetarian candidate. Without 3rd party, Trump would have already won.

I can't believe this is happening. I honestly was holding onto the hope that our country we better than voting for someone like Trump. Any guess how long until we are in war under Trump? If he does win, will we have any allies left after his 4 years? In any prior election, I had a preferred candidate, but I did not fear the other candidate. I am terrified that trump is this close. The fact that there are so many people in this country who share his racist, misogynistic, hate filled ideas and who overlook his constant lies is also frightening. Wait a minute...you're worried about Trump's "constant lies"? Are you serious?

The last I saw CO was leaning Trump Colorado is leaning clinton and has. He made up some ground, but she is still favored to win Early voting was heavy in Denver and Boulder - it'll narrow when the rural plains and Western slope come in - but she'll probably still win.

How much do you think the FBI involvement in the last few weeks had to do with this? Before that we were hearing that trump had very little chance to win now it's looking more and more likely that he will. Also in that time Donald was quiet due to having twitter taken away so maybe people forgot how obnoxious he is? I don't know how else the polls could be so far off

I wouldn't have voted for Romney, but I wasn't scared of him being elected. It makes me sad, and disgusted. This is not the country I thought it was if someone like him could be elected. As well, I think Pence is a scary guy and if something happened to Trump and Pence took over, the Supreme court will be more conservative than ever, especially if Repubs retain the power in the Senate. So long marriage equality, so long women's choice with their bodies, so long health insurance for all. I wonder if alliances will survive as well.

Floridian here. I promise it'll go down to a recount. Several big counties saying mail ins are not all counted or overseas ballots.

Trump 168, Clinton 109.
Not sure why Clinton hasn't been updated to 122 on ABC though . . .

NBC just called OH with Trump at 53% and Clinton at 42%. Not a blowout by any means, but that's not really all that close.

While he is doing much better than anyone expected, I think the FBI must have made a huge difference. The only reason I can think that people would come around to him at the last minute was the focus on her emails in those last days. It took all the focus off of his negatives and put them on her negatives. He was also focused on that one issue and didn't say anything too stupid at the end. It's just baffling that people could forget what the man was like in just a few days. Plus, you can strip away everything Trump has said in the last 18 months and you are still left with a completely unqualified candidate. The man doesn't know how to do anything including keep a campaign staff. How can he possibly function as President?

Fox just called VA for Clinton. 47.5% to 47.3% with only 82% precincts reporting. Why is VA so close? With Tim Kaine's obvious close ties (and popularity) in VA...and she's only up by 6667 votes in the entire state? Because Virginia has been a solid republican state for a LONG time. People think Virginia and think of NoVa. The majority of VA is southern and rural. Not sure why anyone is surprised at Virginia being close. Or maybe it's just people not familiar with the history of VA politics... im not at all surprised. The fact Virginia is considered a battleground state is more surprising to me.

I don't know how else the polls could be so far off FBI involvement or not, this entire fiasco still rests solely at the feet of Hillary herself. It's quite possible that the American public has heard enough and had enough of that bullshit.

And Hillary doesn't know what a C stands for on Classified documents and has her maid printing out classified emails. She's really not all that qualified either. She has terrible judgment and is a complete liar. Even Trump's "trustworthy" numbers beat Clinton's.

I think most people didn't consider the rural voters who typically don't vote because they typically don't have a candidate who they feel represent their interests. Trump does. And they showed up.

Hillary won CO, Trump won Ohio. 168 to 131 Doesn't Ohio usually predict the overall winner though 🤔

I don't know how else the polls could be so far off I understand that people's frustration with Comey, but I think it's a total non-issue to what's happening tonight. It's really about Trump over performing in the rust belt. I scratched my head enough in the primaries to realize that over and over again the pundits and polls have been dead wrong about what the public thinks about Trump. If he wins tonight it will because his economic message resonates with those safely blue states ie Michigan/Pennsylvania or Wisconsin.

Trump 168, Clinton 109. Not sure why Clinton hasn't been updated to 122 on ABC though . . . CNN has her at 109 for awhile now. No sure why they aren't updating. Each news organization makes their own decision on when they want to project a winner. None of these are official - if their analysis of precincts reporting and exit polls is wrong, they change them. Some organizations are more aggressive with their projections than others.

I don't know how else the polls could be so far off I really don't think the FBI involment had anything to do with it. Even after that Hillary was still favored to win. I know the FBI stuff didn't change anyone's vote here. I think the media pushed and pushed Trump supporters as racist idiots (or women who do what their husbands tell them to). A lot of Trump supporters haven't voiced their opinions because of this hate but they did show up at the polls

I have cnn.com open, and it reads 167 Trump, 109 Clinton I'm just so gobsmacked. Not only that he's leading, but that he's close at all. I did not count on so many voting for him, with how he speaks so poorly of so many.
