I need to think about something else this morning. How about Christmas music? I have tons including all the favorites, Vince Guaraldi, Mannheim, Trans Siberian, Josh Groban, Narada and lots more. What off-the-run music do you like? BTW, I'm not a country fan. Thoughts?

Pink Martini, Michael Buble, and my all time favorite Jack Johnson.
Bring on the Christmas music!

Have you tried starting a Christmas station on Pandora? Over the past few years, it has become a case where I have very few new songs (sadly, I added Frozen to the list and now I'm getting a few not even remotely close to Christmas/winter songs coming on that I have to catch) because it's been perfected so much over time. I think one of the last songs I had to thumbs down that was the proper genre was Michael Buble's rendition of Santa, Baby...it was horrendous and possibly one of the worst songs I've ever listened to. It was wrong on so many levels.

Don't laugh, but two of my 30 something co-workers love Justin Bieber's Christmas release. I don't like Christmas music but they really like it!

I added CeeLo Green Christmas CD a few years ago and really enjoy it. His "Mary Did you Know" is just wonderful. Another vote for Pentatonix. This year I will most likely buy Carole King from a few years ago.

I lived Trains's Christmas album last year and I'm kid of a traditional carols type of gal. You said no country, but Jennifer Nettles has a new Christmas album coming out that I'm looking forward to hearing.

Faith Hill's Christmas album is my all time favorite. It's classics with a big band and a choir so it's not country. Seriously, love it.

It was wrong on so many levels. Yes. That song is horrible. So terribly... terribly horrible. Not just the Buble version, but in general (anyone who wants to say that Christmas has become more materialistic in the past few years better listen to that song and realize it came from the 50s and it's the worst of the worst for materialism). Scarily, he made it worse. I didn't think that was possible. And yet, he did. We don't have Pandora but we use Google Play and they have some great lists. We don't add songs but we have enjoyed the selections they make. In fact, their lists have "made" us add more CDs to our already ridiculous collection. Yes, we still buy CDs. My husband collects music in all forms. Though collecting electronically is so boring.

It was wrong on so many levels. I have a couple of Christmas stations that are pretty good, but they get repetitive. I agree about "Santa Buble". I used to get on my high horse about how materialistic it is but now I actually think Eartha Kitt's is funny because it's so 50's.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I will definitely check them out. Pentatonix and Leslie Odom's look great. Here are some of my offbeat favorites:
John Denver and the Muppets--it's epic! Pianoel 1&2 -- out of print. Buy it used on Amazon. Glee Christmas Home Alone Soundtrack Putumayo Christmas Around the World
I really appreciate all the answers!
