I would not be able to deal with in the house!
I went to the gym this morning and got my workout in early because I'm going to a comedy show tonight!

I'm super excited about a dress I found at our little thrift store this morning! The pit & director for the musical are dressing in period for it so I get to as well. I was plannimg to wear a period dress I already had with a 40s hat. Did a trial run on a hairstyle last night. It looked great with the hat but when I added the dress I looked like mary poppins. Ha! So I went over to the thrift shop and walked in to see this STUNNING 2-piece suit. It fits the period but can totally be worn now. I was a little big but the lady working there is a seamstress & we set to work pinning it up as a temporary alteration. Best part is, it goes with a pillbox hat I already have and LOVE! I also have shoes that will work, jewelry, and a pair of adorable little ladies gloves. I'm so excited! Oh - the dress was $4. Still had it's original $90 price tag. Sounds like a great find!

My day is going quite well. DS called & asked me if I could babysit tomorrow night as ddil has had a difficult week & he wants to take her out for a quiet dinner.
YES! I will also bring treats for the dgc & will have a great time with them.

It's one of those days where I feel weirdly stupid. lol I spent over an hour on the phone trying to convince someone younger than my underpinnings that I need to get copies of my transcripts and no, I don't have a university of Florida id because in the Stone Age when I attended there was no internet for us to access our records through. Then I had to remember thing like when I first started UF (I can't remember where I put my coffee down ten minutes ago much less the year I started college) and finally they decided I was actually me and then had to navigate the system which made no damn sense and the font was so little on my phone I am still not sure what I did. Maybe registered for a zoolology class, maybe got transcripts ordered, maybe deleted myself. Who knows. My realtor is on her way over to go over an offer that I don't understand. Maybe people smarter than me can get it without visual aids, but not me apparently. I totally at the mercy of the computer guy who tried to tell me what's wrong with my laptop. He was speaking a different language. And I won't even go into me and the young man at att trying to explain to me why I shouldn't just sign up for a iphone 7 while I am trying to explain to him that I just want to buy the 5s go phone and use it on my existing account. He can't seem to understand that I don't want to finance a phone, I don't need the newest phone, I just want one that works and the $150 phone can be squeezed into the budget thanks to a gift from my parents. It's a generational difference I'm sure-he even asked about financing cars and didn't understand buying outright vs financing. The older gentleman (my age) who was there with me was having the same reaction to the conversation. Honestly it made me feel kind of dumb while the kid was trying to convince me that I was being silly not getting the 7. So I iust feel old and dumb today. I actually called my 18 year old at college while I was in the phone store to get his opinion. Bless his heart, he totally was on my side and even talked to the phone guy and hopefully sometime today I will have a phone without my plan changing. Stupid that I had to rely on my kid to sort it out. And it's only 11:15. There is still plenty of stupid still left in my day. lol Aren't you glad you asked?😂😂😂😂 I don't mean to giggle at your expense, but your day could sooo totally have been me and it had me cracking up. You have a gift for writing. Oh no please go ahead and laugh. It really is the only way to get through. Because, truthfully it went downhill from there with att sending me all over Gods green earth to buy a phone from Walmart, then back to att who told me that it wouldn't work, back to walmart who said to tell att that it would and what to do, who then told me no it doesn't, then back to Walmart to return the stupid phone where they then told me that no, that phone is not compatible with att and wondered where I ever got that idea. OMG. Old, stupid and need to be put in a nursing home where they only have remotes with giant buttons and jitterbug phones. Just put me out of my technological misery. 😂

I got my mouse traps at lunch (which I didn't get to take until almost 2:00) and I'm going to try the gumdrop trick, and maybe the bacon too!
I hope you all have a great evening!

For some reason, I just hate Thursdays. By this day in the week, I'm dragging and I just want the week to end. Still another 45 minutes, and I'm plodding through work as quickly as the system will allow.

I sliced into my thumbnail and the edges were starting to catch on everything making the slice worse.
So I just got back from the nail salon , where u got a full set of French tips.
The nail that needed to fixed looks great! I hate the rest! There are bubbles in them and she never clean up my cuticles. They look trashy. It is going to be a long two weeks waiting for my thumbnail the grow out so I can take these bitches off.

The old living room blinds that were in the house when we bought it 2 years ago finally broke (yay - they were an icky beige that didn't look good with the light blue walls). The guys came today and installed the nice bright white wood blinds. Ahh - they look so nice. We had them put in the bedroom too. I'm just going to sit here and look at them for a little longer before I cook dinner.

I had a big win today! Little guy let his guard down and accidentally admitted he missed me while I was out today.
He also did a great job of cleaning his room while I was gone. DS18 gave him some great motivation and encouragement but he did the work himself.
I'm tired of driving kids everywhere.
I'm happy that clementines are back in season.
My pool is getting closed for the season on Monday and I am so relieved to be done with it for awhile.
I'm exceptionally tired. I think I may be coming down with something.
