Well I hope they don't introduce this as a general service for all international parcels.

I’ve ordered from both ACOT and SB.com and have found that ACOT’s shipping charges vary greatly depending on WHAT I order, not on the $ amount of the order. My experience at SB.com leads me to think they charge shipping according the $ of the order.
If I order any 12x12 at ACOT, even just one sheet, the shipping goes up. I can order $20 worth with just one sheet of 12x12 paper and shipping is so much more than if I order $75 worth of stuff without any 12x12.
My last order at ACOT was about $60, I was charged $3.99 for shipping. My last order at SB.com was $49-ish, shipping was somewhere around $9. Go figure. And no, I’m not international, I have no clue how that translates, but I’d guess it follows the same pattern.

Lately I have ordered most of my supplies from scrapbook.com because they have everything and reasonable international shipping (between 10 and 15 $). Today I got a mail where they are SO exited about their new carrier and tracked shipping, so of course I had to test it. I "ordered" items for $ 15 and guess what the shipping would be?!?! $ 32!!!! Why do they do this? I have never had a package get lost in the mail, and I order a lot from different companies. Is that really a problem? I will never pay that much in shipping and can´t understand that anyone would be willing to do that either.... So, any one know of a great scrapbook store with reasonable shipping? And for comparison, did you also put $100 of items in your cart and see if the shipping charge increased? No one likes shipping fees but it's just a fact of modern life--it costs a lot to ship things.

I live in canada too and my go-to store which I find is way more affordable is simonsaystamp. Then if you don't order any 12x12 blitsy and cherryontop are okay and even bluemoonscrapbooking. I will probably try paperissues but it is sad to increase the shipping fees regarding the price of your order instead of the weight!
