For Remembrance Day in Canada, or Veterans Day in the US, I want to express my thanks to all those who serve-- in the military, or police, as fire fighters, or in other capacities. Day ELEVEN prompt: Those who serve Whether you take a moment in your busy day to remember veterans, attend a special ceremony, or do a gratitude page to honor someone you know who is serving or has served, I hope you find some way to express gratitude for their sacrifice. And for those of you who have served, thank YOU! I used my Remembrance Day poppy on my page featuring my son in law who is an officer in the canadian infantry. I can't seem to directly display my page with my iPad, but here is my Day 11 page in Flickr

I had a great uncle who served in WWI and BIL who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. I love the poppy idea! I'll use mine as well on a page.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for those men and women who are brave and serve there countries. Something I would have never been able to do. I am a chicken and could never face danger with the courage and bravery that those who serve our countries are called upon to do. I am thankful that there are people who can rise to the occasion to keep us all safe and free.
