A few weeks ago, my sister came over and we were working on some pages together. She was cutting a small square for layering and the piece just sort off disappeared! My trimmer is on a cart so things sometimes fall on the floor when you trim. So we looked under the trimmer, all around the floor, moved the cart and looked and just couldn't find it. So she cut another piece and moved on.
Well, tonight I was doing some scrapping and needed a smallish piece of paper for layer. I trimmed the paper and, you guessed it. It disappeared. I did a reasonable search and then decided to just cut another piece. Well, guess what. That one disappeared too. So I again did a reasonable search and didn't find it. But I did find my sister's piece of paper that had gone missing a couple of weeks ago.
That's when I thought, "Nope. I'm done.", let room and closed the door.

Pixies! Leave out something shiny for them to play with, and ask for your lost thing back. Sounds silly, but it has worked for me more than a few times.

dulcemama, that's so funny!! Usually that happens to me right on my workdesk. I have it, put it down and it's gone!~

I lost a photo once. I tore my desk apart, looked under it, checked the sofa (my desk is behind it), everywhere!
I finally found it stuck to the back of a sheet of cardstock. There was a teeny dot of adhesive either on the photo or the cardstock. I seriously thought I was losing my mind!
Can you burn some sage over your trimmer - LOL!

I love a mystery!
Static electricity. I bet it's stuck to the blade.

Although I'm at a loss to think of why they haven't found anything shiny to play with on their own. God knows I've got enough bling and glitter to pave Fairyland. Save

I had that happen but it was stuck to the side of the trimmer due to static electricity. Wish I had a better story though.
