Another scrapper that found the pod through other scrapbooking sites (CK and Lifetime Moments) back sometime in 2000 or 2001. I still scrapbook, just not as much I used to. Now I usually make cards since they fit into my schedule better.

I joined in September 2003. I was a newlywed, living in a new state where I didn't know anyone and I didn't yet have a job so I was home in my apartment all day alone while DH was at work. I had been part of a wedding chat board and that board kind of fell apart so I was looking for someplace new to chat and between that desire and scrapbooking my wedding photos, I somehow found peas. I don't know if I was referred or if I found it on a google search or what.

Back in 1999 I was on a bedrest message board. I was just getting back into scrapbooking and someone there linked me to twopeas. I signed up w/a different name and lurked until 2003 when I posted for the first time under the name Scrapmaven.

I started out on the CKMB and I NEVER wanted to go to 2peas because everyone at CKMB said how horrible and mean the girls on 2peas were, so I never even visited. lol.. I think the CKMB started slowing down and I eventually decided to check out 2peas. I am sure I lurked for quite awhile before logging on. I had a hard time leaving CKMB for whatever reason, but I think the traffic on 2peas was getting higher and I liked that the threads bumped to the top which at CK they did not and would not change.
I also dabbled at Dmarie and I think that might have been my first message board to start.
Edited to add: I did lose my original number and date and really don't remember what they were. But it's been a pretty long time.

I went to Provo, years ago, with a friend who was attending a scrapbook convention. She did that while I drove on in to Salt Lake City and did research at the Family History Library for several days.
I heard about the board then and checked it out. Didn't care for it as I don't scrapbook but would occasionally read a few threads. I never joined that board.
I can't remember how I found this board. Probably Googled Two Peas when I saw the other board closed down.
ETA: I must be the only member who doesn't scrap.

OMG! such fun! I love seeing all the oldies that started with dMarie!! I too am an ooooold oldie! I started with dMarie. Did the message board and the late night chats!! such fun! Meet a lot of great scrapbookers. Then when dMarie shut down moved over to 2Ps. Was there from pretty much the start of that til the bitter end, and now here. I think I've been scrapbooking my whole life.

I came back to paper crafting/scrapping when SMASH books came out. I was obsessed with process videos of all the things you could do with them. I googled "smash book" looking for more inspiration which i believe led me to the split coast stampers board which had a thread that mentioned the peas. This would have been 2011. I was in love, love, love with the video archive. Every Saturday morning I pulled up the PL video for inspiration.

i was a dmarie and jangle girl too... i remember nothing at all about any threads there or names or what mine even was... for some reason i have a vague memory of someone sending me one of those "ecards" we all used to do for bdays etc... and it was dead roses... it freaked me out and i didn't post any more. my dd was born in '02 and one of the parenting boards i was on, i made friends with a girl there who also scrapped and she told me about 2peas.... i can't even remember her name now, i'm wracking my poor brain...

I came across Two Peas early in 2001. I was already well into my scrapbooking obsession, and had been for years.
I was serious into my relationship with my now DH, and one night at his apartment I was scrapbooking pics of his little 3 year old daughter. I remember I wanted a paper piecing to scrapbook our trip to a pumpkin patch, and I googled paper piecing patterns. Two Peas came up and there were actually PP patterns you could pay about a buck for and download right there! I was elated!
Prior to that I had followed DMarie, Jangle etc but I never joined up on a message board or anything. Two Peas was different. It was very hip, lots going on, an exciting message board..I signed up that night and started posting like mad. I didn't venture outside of the scrapbooking board over to NSBR until about a year later.
Then it was TwoPeas non stop for me. I'd hit the SB board first, and then spend my evenings getting to know the NSBR ladies. So much fun back then. Gosh, so long ago already.
I have *history* here with a lot of you women, and quite a few have become friends IRL. amazing.

i joined in 2003. there were 109,000+ peas already registered before me. I think I might have found it thru Scrapbook Addict. there were a couple of other sites I was browsing but I'm pretty sure it was thru Scrapbook Addict. I participated mostly on the GS board and didn't go over to NSBR board for a couple of years.
there was a kerfuffle on 2peas and a bunch of peas opened another message board. i signed up to that one and am mostly a lurker there but remained loyal to 2peas until the day it abruptly closed. it took me a few hours to find this board but I've been regular here since then. aside from the other board i lurk on, this is the only SB board i participate in.

I found the Peas in late summer 2001. I had a Southwest vacation to scrapbook and, for the first time, plenty of space to do it in. But I looked back at my previous work and was unhappy with it so I knew I needed help. I didn't know any scrappers in real life and my area hadn't been bit with the scrapping bug yet, so no scrapbook stores to chat with the employees. Yahoo! to the rescue. Obviously, I hit the scrapping boards first. But after the book was done, I dipped my toes into the NSBR. Many peas on the scrapping boards had very negative things to say about the NSBR so I just had to see if it was as bad as they said!
It was worse actually. NSBR: It's not for everyone!

I started scrapping in 1998, and found TwoPeas in 2001 after seeing an ad in "Creating Keepsakes" magazine. I'm pretty sure I ONLY posted on the scrapooking board and gallery for quite a longggg time until I found **NSBR**** OMG, I haven't heard "Scrapbook Addict" in foreverrrr !!!!!!! I didn't realize until y'all mentioned it, that it was my FIRST scrapbooking site! Wow, such memories !!!!! Hi Mystie, Monklady, and anyone else who used to post there! Mystie ---I thought I remembered you from "Cropper's Cottage"---were you also there, or am I imagining that? melissa ....that's cool that you were the FIRST! I heard about it from my Leaving Prints (how's THAT for a blast from the past?!) demonstrator in 2005. I set (virtual) foot in the Pod, and never really left.

I got a computer in Jan of 2000. I joined the CKMB after buying the magazines and seeing they had a site. I found peas through there in May of 2001. That was back when CKMB and peas were at "war" lol. It was brutal back then. There was a ton of nastiness and some peas thought they owned the board. I didn't post much at all. I found the CKMB back in 1999 or 2000, I think. There was no gallery there and I remember how we all posted in the gallery at 2Peas and then would go back to the CKMB and post the link to the gallery! I would look at the NSBR once in awhile and was appalled at how nasty some posters were! I liked that there were always new topics though and it was a much faster moving board than the CKMB. I had joined to post in the gallery but really lurked on the NSBR for a long time. I remember that the CK folks enjoyed their fights with the Peas...it was really silly. At some point I started reading more at 2Peas and less at CK and, after I format change, I think, I pretty much abandoned the CK board and just hung out at 2Peas. I made a lot of real life friends from the CK board and for that I'm grateful!

I'm pretty sure I found it through an ad in ck magazine. I didn't have Internet until 2000 and I think I joined the same year. At one point my username stopped working (along with some others) so I had to re-join. My original username was gale but when I had to join again I couldn't use it so I added the w.
ETA : it may have been through dmarie.

I started to "officially" scrapbook in 1998. My friends had to practically drag me to a Creative Memory's party. Once there I was bitten hard by the scrapbook bug!
I first heard of 2 Peas with visiting my sister in FL. She took me a to LSS in Sarasota and I was talking to another shopper and she asked where I was from and if I had ever heard of 2 Peas. I went home, looked it up and the rest was history!

I joined in 2004, but lurked for probably a year or so before that. One of my friends that I've known since the old AOL days sucked me into the vortex to answer tech questions. She moved on to other things but I stuck around.

I like this thread! I don't think I could ever leave the Peas. Such interesting topics! I just stay off the political ones.
I don't really remember how I got to 2 Peas. I was a crafter but avoided the scrapbooking aisle at Hob Lob. Then, my DD batted her lashes & asked me to make her pretty scrapbooks like her friend Brittani's mom did. So during the fall of 2001, I was putting pics in plain scrapbooks so I could organize... that helped me be calm during the 9/11 events. So I must have found the Peas through a magazine add.
I miss it. I stopped 5 years ago when my FIL was diagnosed with lung cancer & I thought he would be living with us during treatment. I had to pack up my stuff.
I want to begin again but it is overwhelming to get my supplies out of boxes & organize it.

I'm pretty sure I started buying from 2peas in 2001 - probably due to the same CK ads that others have mentioned.
Didnt notice the the message boards however until someone on the CK MB linked to a 2peas gallery layout where people were protesting the subject matter. (And I think various posts about how vicious it was at 2peas). Shortly thereafter I saw a post "what do you have to do to get published" that involved bass-bitten pages and I was hooked!

I was searching for supplies online and found twopeas. I stumbled into the forums. The first thread i ever read was an awesome post about someone's neighborhood mystery house. It had mirrors everywhere in the yard on the house etc. and noone knew why. I have no idea what year it was, but it was a LONG time ago.

I think it began in 1999, and I am sure I heard about it at the Scrapbook Addict messsage board. People were excited to have a big new online store. I posted at dMarie and Graceful Bee (wow, had totally forgotten about that one!) as well as a few others over the years. I lost my early Peas number, too. I started scrapbooking in Feb. 1998. Sheesh, how time flies. I used to be totally addicted to the scrapbook addict site... Then they changed hosts while I was still using dial up... It was way too slow. I heard about two peas there. I was on the old site 13 years, but mostly lurked... I think I only glad a little over 700 posts in those 13 years.

I joined in April of 2003. My dd was in 4H and her scrapbooking leader told the girls (and moms) about a site to get ideas for layouts. She (kayfril) started the original thread "Pokey Peas" that's still going on the scrapbooking board.
I discovered the NSBR board and enjoyed the diversity of topics a lot. I've met numerous pea friends - for dinners, scrapbooking in their homes and at crops, attended birthday parties for their kids and even roomed together at the first 2peas sponsored scrapbooking event in Madison, WI.

My late DH and I were starting to save things for the scrapbooks we were going to make but he died August 2001 and I was living in the middle of nowhere in Colorado. The following spring, an LSS opened about 35 miles away from me. My friend who lived in that town bought a book, I'll have to go find it, but I think it was by the Graceful Bee people and another scrapbooking book.
I found CK MB in one of those books or maybe one was a magazine. That was around March that I signed on there, I think I was Angie in CO. I was helping my friend come up with ideas to scrap pictures with her daughter as a toddler making a mess eating spaghetti. They told me to go to 2 peas, I'm sure that is how they spelled it. Could NOT find 2 peas. Posted that I couldn't find it, they then spelled it out and I found the gallery. Was enthralled with it, could look for hours though the gallery.
Took me a while to realize there was a message board there just like at CK MB. Signed up around May, not sure, I lost my sign in date and resigned up October 14, 2002. I only hung out on GS and FSOT, the original FSOT, bought a Coluzzle book that showed different things you could make with the shapes and one or two Coluzzle or AccuCut version of Coluzzle before they shut it down for a few years.
It was a while before I ventured over to NSBR and the Stamping Boards. I did a tiny bit of posting on dMarie and read but not sure I ever posted on Jangle. I liked Two Peas MB format better than CKMB because my questions always got lost because they didn't pop to the top. That eventually made me quit posting there for the most part.
I still have one friend from CK MB and she is my FaceBook friend. I only have one pea as a FaceBook friend. I don't have anyone from the other board I'm on as a Facebook friend but I do have two that I email.
Since I knew I'd probably have to move, I decided not to have my location in my name so I went with AngieandSnoopy for the message boards.

I started scrapbooking in 2002. I found 2Peas in May of 2004. It was from another message board that would call the site the green veggie or something similar because they weren't allowed to mention a competitors name. Someone took pity and PM'd me the real name. I googled it and joined immediately.

Summer 2000. I was in a small scrapbook group who met monthly and was told about it. So I went home, did the old AOL dial-up on my computer and found it. I remember my Pea# being in the 1,000s. Then I got busy, forgot my log in and had to start a new account. So my new start date was June 2001. Can't believe it's been 16 years.
