Now that it gets dark so early, what artificial lighting are yall using to photograph your scrapbook/PL layouts?
Or if you do film YouTube videos, what lighting are you using indoors?
Obviously waiting until the weekend to take a photo with natural light is ideal, but it's not always realistic.

In my old house, I had about five Ott lights that I bought on clearance and I would turn them all on and bounce the light off of the white ceiling. It wasn't ideal and it was hard to avoid having shadows on stuff. In my current house, my DH installed a bunch of overhead daylight fluorescents in cloud fixtures in my studio and they are GREAT. I can take photos in there at any time of the day or night, any time of the year.
Honestly, when I have the lights on it could be the middle of the night and the lighting is as bright as day down there. The cloud fixtures also diffuse the light so that there aren't any harsh shadows. It was so weird after we put the new lights in because they were SO bright compared to the regular yellowish flood bulbs that had been in the recessed can lights that it took a little time to get used to.

I use grow light silver clip on lamps with LED daylight bulbs. I can move them around and point them to where I need the light. Not ideal either. But anything to get light to my work area.

Cloud fixtures are really inexpensive...I've never thought of that! Thanks for the idea. will definitely look into possibly getting some of those.

The fixtures were pretty reasonable, but the daylight bulbs cost more. The good part is that they last a looong time so they don't need to be replaced all that often.
