So after work today I took a little nap.
My phone rings and it's DD. I look at the time and it's 6:25. I wonder why she is calling so early in the morning to chat. It isn't until after we hang up that I realize it's evening an not tomorrow morning. Yeah, I think I've lost it!

I've had that happen before after an afternoon nap. It's the weirdest feeling!

I can totally relate. I think once I woke up from a nap and asked dd why she wasn't at school. And she said it's 7pm.

That is one reason I love using the 24 hour clock.

lol that happened to one of my kids once. He was middle school aged, went to a "sleep" over and didn't sleep. Slept at home in the afternoon...when he woke up he was totally confused thinking it was morning. After that if he was sleeping over someone's house the siblings would correct me if I said sleepover and say so really he's at an "over" cause you know he isn't going to sleep

I don't like that unnerving feeling when I wake up, either- plus, it takes me way too long to fall asleep for any effective napping to actually take place.

I took a nap a few weeks ago and somehow made it into a deep sleep (I usually can't do more than lightly doze during a nap). When I woke, it was light outside, but the clock said 2:25. I cannot tell you how confused I was. I was thinking, "It's the middle of the night...but it is light outside."
It was a similar feeling to waking up in a new place and not being quite sure where you are or how you got there.

BTDT I took a nap the other day because I had a migraine so dh fed the dd's pancakes (one of the few things he is good at cooking) ... he told them to clean up so they loaded the dishwasher I came back downstairs a few hours later and went to unload the clean dishwasher and it had dirty dishes mixed in with the clean ones My family is kinda dumb sometimes

I can relate! Haven't done it, but one time my son took a long afternoon nap and then came downstairs all ready for school at 7p.m. He thought he had slept through the night. LOL We still tease him about it.

Too funny!
We're trying to get DD who has some health issues on a better night time routine. This means I go to bed at 9 when she does. Now I wake up at least once a week between 11 and 12 and think it's morning and time to get up. It's always dark between 3:30 and 5:30 now which is when I get up with going to bed at 9. Definitely can relate.
