The worst underbelly of American has been given a mainstream voice. If that doesn't make you weep for our country when you hear this guy's views, then I don't even know what to say.
Awful...just awful.

I don't like the name alt-right. It seems to cover up the, oh I don't know, deplorableness, of these people.

Let's just call it what it really is. White nationalism. Not alt-right, white nationalism.

OMG. I listened to this yesterday.
I can't believe that people think this way.
OMG .

I think this was on last night, and if it's the same one, I had to turn it off after just a couple minutes, I couldn't stomach the things he was saying. But I suppose I 'SHOULD' listen to it, huh...
ETA: I like Stephen Colbert's definition for alt-right. He described it as, "there's what right, and then there's the alternative... that's what they believe is truth, the 'alt' right." lol!!

Let's just call it what it really is. White nationalism. Not alt-right, white nationalism. Oh, I'm completely fine with that, but as we saw here, if many conservatives hear an -ism, they get all defensive, refuse to listen, and then stomp off. That just makes the alt-right(aka White Nationalists) stronger and more palatable if they (the overly-sensitive conservatives) retreat to conservative echo chambers. I truly don't know what the answer is with a label. That guy did a masterful job of sounding calm and reasonable and unless you really listen to his words, the insidious undertones are easy to overlook. Save

And yet at the same time he can't just come out and say he's fine with swastikas and KKK robes. Interesting that he was delicately sensitive to that, but could come right out and state all his bullshit agenda.
Sorry. I keep waiting for Ashton Kutcher to come out and tell us we've been punked. I can't even get myself to believe some of this stuff is for real, and yet I know that it is. My brain just won't accept it. I know this stuff has never fully died, but now not only is there no shame in saying this, they are proud. I'm so deeply saddened by this, but I'm also not going to sit down and take it.

I don't know how to ask this intelligently, so I'm going to blurt it out. Can trump get impeached (not that I think Pence will be better, I for sure don't) for appointing all of these horrible people to his cabinet? Is there any recourse? Is he doing this on purpose in order to get removed from office so that he doesn't actually have to be president?

I'll have to listen to it when I get the chance. Sounds ominous.
As to impeachment, I have to wonder about the legality of having his family in on some of these meetings, especially when their business interests might benefit. What information could they be hearing or discussing in meetings that they really have no reason to sit in on?

I will predict right now, if Trump is still in office, he will be impeached before he hits the 2nd anniversary of his inauguration. I'm waiting to make a prediction on whether he'll resign as a result of his impeachment.

Many (but not all) will need to be confirmed, so it will be up to the Rep controlled congress. It did seem he ran his campaign right out of the "how not to get elected" playbook, but here he is. He's either clueless or scary...either way, dangerous. Come on checks and balances!

so, I listened to it. ugh-- kudos to Kelly McEvers for asking the questions with a straight face and not getting upset with him during the interview, 'cause I sure couldn't have done it.
the fact that he STARTED OFF with stating that America was settled by only Europeans, FOR Europeans, and it was better off before all the 'immigrants' came here (except for the European ones-- he conveniently doesn't count them in the 'immigrant' category, I guess)?? but he never said a THING about the indigenous 'non-white' people that were already here?? "...but I do deeply respect non-white people..."
If I didn't share an office with someone else, I'd probably have been yelling at my computer while I listened to that garbage.

Disgusting and depressing. The hits just keep on coming.
David Duke tweeted about his excitement for Flynn, Bannon and Sessions. He's hoping Sessions can stop the "massive institutional race discrimination" against whites.
