Someone tell me how to make a kick-a** turkey. Well, turkey breast. I am in the south and it has been unseasonally warm. Until this afternoon. I had to go to the store to get steaks for dinner. Well those dark looming clouds bringing much colder weather were closing in while I was shopping. I decided since it was going to be so cool tomorrow we would have cowboy beans and cornbread. I already have s'more makings. Oh, popcorn with lots of melted butter. I even decided to make some Chex Mix sometime this weekend. While I was circling the store since the bottom of those clouds dropped I decided to look at the turkey breasts.
Well, I found a small one. But now what do I do? What will make this a great turkey breast. I did find a recipe that involves butter, rosemary and garlic. Is brining really necessary? Hit me with your best ones!!

I put butter, rosemary and thyme under the skin of the turkey and it gives the meat a nice flavor. I think if you use an oven bag it makes it so juicy that brining isn't necessary.

The best turkey ever is Alton Brown's Turkey brine recioe.
Google that and you may just convert everyone over to turkey! ;-)

I always make our turkey in a turkey bag and it turns out good. The stuffing cooks in the crockpot.
