Our 14 y.o. is 6'2" & weighs 135 lbs. Finding size 14 shoes (sneaker, basketball, & dress/lace-ups) has been surprisingly easy, but pants continue to pose a challenge. Any store suggestions (preferably brick & mortar, so he can try them on) for non-traditional/tall & slender sizes in khaki chinos &/or black dress/suit pants? TIA

I got some slims ar Kohls for my beanpole ds. However, I think I had to buy them online and then have him try them on.

No there is no where to get tall skinny at brick and mortar. DS takes a specific fit Levi's (I think 505 slim fit ) 31x34 but they are only onlin. We order from either Macy's or Kohls and it never fails that at least one has to go back because it's bigger than the rest despite being the same size so I prefer Kohls as they give zero issues with returns
Good luck

My almost 17 yo grandson is a beanpole and can find pants that fit him at American Eagle. No place else has anything close to fitting his slight frame.

We have to buy DS' s 29x36 pants online, can never find anything in store. We like kohls too. Online is best bet. The 1 or 2 in store pants are grabbed by one of us (mom-of-tall-skinny-kid) that is in that store first. So few there. My DD found 6 or so pairs of barely used jeans for her 6'2' 130lb brother at a resale store recently. All next to each other, I'm sure someone had just donated after outgrowing. We bought them all. For under $20. Hallelujah!

We shop American Eagle too-- they carry some of the less popular sizes, it's the only placeI can find jeans for two of mine, and for my nephew.

DS is 6'1" and 117 lbs. We have good luck with the Marc Anthony Slim Fit line at Kohl's.

We have luck with American Eagle and Kohls, but usually have to order and have them delivered to the store, especially if you need a 36 length.
I just learned, thanks to my mom, that you can get unhemmed dress pants at suit stores. Then they hem the pants to fit. My tall kiddo is in band and needed black dress pants, so this was a most excellent discovery!

Thanks for asking this. We have the same problem. So far we've been lucky go have hand me downs from a. It's in that worked well enough. DS isn't picky at all. But lately I have been having trouble finding waist sizes smaller than 32 ( which is huge on DS). I was thinking of the gap because that's where I remember everyone finding odd Jean sizes when I was a teen but now maybe I'll try kohls instead. Thanks
