I wonder how President elect Trmp would take it if a leader from another country requested a specific ambassador?
Think he would go with it, ignore it or get upset and tweet about it in a tantrum and then ? (Not even sure what would come next )

Farage and Trump two idiots separated at birth and more than one country can stand. i really don`t believe that Boris is as daft as he pretends to be, it`s a ploy to fool his opponents.I don't disagree with you. In fact he's a very clever man by all accounts. I can't say I dislike him that much, he's just got a very odd sense of humour. I think a lot of what he says is often said tongue in cheek.

(Not even sure what would come next ) He's probably bomb the wind farms that are 20 miles out in the North Sea that he keeps complaining about. They're blocking the view from his golf course in Scotland. You know, the one where he promised it would create 2000 jobs but they've never employed more that 600 and it's losing millions LINK

Also wince inducing: During his congratulatory phone call from Theresa May, the leader of our closest ally, he told her "If you travel to the US, you should let me know."
Zounds.

Incongruously, as just an unremarkable Midwestern schoolteacher, I actually feel like I could have have handled that phone call better. Which means I probably know more about head of state visits and routine phone call protocol than our president elect. It's like nobody ever taught him how to talk to people, and then he had the great good fortune, by dint of his success and branding, to never suffer the consequences of his ignorance. And now he's landed in a job where every syllable should be weighed before speaking...but he's never met a syllable he was even remotely interested in weighing.

That was after he finally decided that she might be worth speaking to after accepting calls from Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Japan, India, Turkey, Israel, South Korea, Ireland and – top of the list – Egypt !!

And the Trump duds just keep on coming. What he's already doing to the reputation of the U.S. is beyond embarrassing. I can't imagine how bad it will get before the Trump regime comes to an end. Save

I'm watching CNN now and Kayleigh McEnany just went on a rant about him already denouncing the alt-right "four times" and that "if you (liberals) had your way he would spend his whole presidency wasting his time denouncing them. Um....how many times has he tweeted about SNL and Hamilton? Someone this morning said it perfectly--he is quick to put down those who he thinks are against him but he is hesitant to denounce those who support him, no matter who they are. It seems that his MO is to wait several days to "denounce" them just so his surrogates can say he did it, but it gives the alt right the impression that he really doesn't have a problem with them.

Watching the early Brit news this am: one of the commentators suggested that if DT would put a trade deal with the UK on the shortlist (as opposed to Pres Obama's recent statement that the UK post-Brexit would need to wait in line behind the EU) that Ambassador Farage would be a smart move

Ukip = UK Independence Party. Right wing politician, promotes himself as a man of the people, against political correctness etc (remind you of anyone??) but isn't in reality, he comes from a wealthy family. Thoroughly unlikeable, pompous, lies frequently (as I said, remind you of anyone?) ...I could go on. "twinning!"

Mr Trump's meddling in British politics is a welcome as I imagine Teresa May's would be if she were to make suggestions about who he should appoint to his team.
Keep yer nose out, Donald. There are protocols for this type of thing. And Nigel Farage is self aggrandising mysoginistic racist Herbert. I can't imagine why anyone would want to do business with him.

I already do. Lol. I'm always putting 'u' where it doesn't belong. See. I'd fit right in. I would mind the gap and everything. (Though I will admit to being confused when I was served Yorkshire pudding and it wasn't pudding.)
