Why, you may ask? Because DH and I decided that the upgrade to our 50" plasma screen (from 2006) wasn't quite enough, so we decided to return our brand new Vizio 50" theater display and go a bit higher to 60" (got the 50" on a crazy awesome sale, then Costco went and put them all on sale again for this week so, the upgrade would be just a few more $ than what we paid originally). When we got there, DH saw that the 65" was only a little more and so, yah, we got it. It even fit in my Prius (really is bigger on the inside ), then we set it up and... That thing is effing HUMONGOUS! I told DH, "well that's it, I have to redecorate the living room now!" He just rolled his eyes. So, any curtain suggestions? I'm looking for some that are thermal lined and has black out material too. TY!

Pottery Barn is having a sale on curtains. Don't know if they do blackout. I had good luck with curtains from Shopko of all places. They are a good quality with a thermal lining and I plaid less than $25 a set on sale. It was awesome. My DH is trying to talk me into going bigger than 50" when we replace our tv. We sit about 9 feet away from it. anything bigger than 50" would be rediculous but he thinks 65" is totally necessary.

I think that's how my parents ended up with the size of TV they have right now.

I shopped all summer for drapes for our new house. I don't remember specifics about places but check online at pottery barn and west elm. I didn't end up buying anything but sheers at At Home but I did look and they had a pretty large selection.

I found my thermal curtains at Ikea. I like the longer length they offer & that blue is my favorite, but they have other colors.

Check J C Penney's. I've always had good luck with them, they have a huge variety.

Did you read the description? Well, that's some stellar innovation there, IKEA, LMAO!!! TY all for the suggestions. I haven't bought curtains in well-nigh an age, so...these give me good places to start looking.

no curtain suggestions (we have mini-blinds and shutters), but you will be BLOWN away when you watch movies on that screen!! Especially a movie with a lot of details, like Lord of the Rings, or Avatar... you won't want a smaller one ever again!
