Hi Everyone--
In the 3 short years since my twins were born, I've accumulated quite a few 8x10 and 5x7 pictures. Mostly 8x10. My house is becoming overrun with picture frames so I figure it's time to retire a few and start changing the photos out. I digitally scrapbook nowadays but I'd still like to find a way to store all the 8x10's I have. I've looked online for an 8x10 album but only found yucky ones. I thought about some sort of storage box but haven't found that either. Any thoughts/ideas/solutions? I'm up for any and all ideas.
Thanks!
Kristi

I think BH has 8x10 page protectors. A friend of mine did an album of only professional photos.
The largest phtos i get are 5x7s which although out of mine norm i can still work with on a scrapbook page.

Mine are all stuffed in a drawer. I think I have to get an album for them now. Nothing fancy just a better place to house them all. Thanks for the idea.

I mount them on 8.5x11" cardstock with photo corners, then slid them into 8.5x11" page protectors and into an album.
The slightly larger paper gives me room to write the name of subject & date at the bottom.

Personally, I would scrap them just like any other photo. I like scrapping different sizes, and 5x7, 8x10, 11x3 are fun!

I scrap them as a cover page for an album. Done I might frame if special.

I scrapped all of my 8x10s and 5x7 portraits in a 12x12 album. I continued to include school portraits as well. It is an album of only portraits and I enjoyed making it.

I just scrapbook them in my 12x12 albums. However, I avoid getting prints that size. When I order school pictures, I only order 5x7's or smaller. The only time I get an 8x10 is if the package is cheaper than one without 8x10s.

I use a Profolio for my 5x7 and 8x10 professional photos that I don't want to scrap. You can get them here: 8x10 Profolio

I have a 12x12 album of just 'professional' pictures of all my kids, all in one book. (I never did a book for each kid thing).. So all professional and school pictures go in that one. For my 2 oldest kids (in their 20s) I did a side by side layout for their respective grade (they were only one grade apart).. and then usually did a similar layout for both kids. Now my youngest I will just add her to the mix but she won't have the side by side since so many years have past...

The slightly larger paper gives me room to write the name of subject & date at the bottom. I have some even larger than 8x10. I trim them so they will fit 11x8. I think they are better In an album trimmed than in a box or drawer where they would get bent and lost.

I was getting ready to purchase vertical BH 8 x 10 page protectors and then realized you can get photo sleeves WAY cheaper on Amazon. BUT, BH does (or did) have horizontal 8 x 10s and I bought those for the class photos.

Thanks for all the great ideas. I ordered one of those Profolio's from Amazon. I remember as a kid my mom kept all our school photos in the frame and just added the new one on top. We could open it up to see all the old photos. Seems frames nowadays don't hold as much as they did back in 197- something. LOL I have a huge stack of photos that I don't want to get bent but I don't want to "scrap" them in the traditional way. I like the idea of the Profolio and also the idea to mount them on 8.5x11 sheets so I have room to write some basic info. I'm going to see which one works for me. Thanks again for all the amazing ideas.
