For Thanksgiving Day in the US, the prompt will be: TRADITIONS I am thankful for all the traditions we brought with us to our family and which have developed or been created along the way. Following these traditions, cooking and eating these foods, playing these games: these are the activities that define us as a family. They create a source of security: knowing what is to come. And family traditions create a sense of self. Am I a follower? Am I a rebel? Am I a peace maker? An innovator? As our "kids" grew up and began bringing home SO's, our traditions grew and changed and as they married and formed homes of their own, they began building their own family traditions, and we have adapted our traditions to fit with theirs. And it is all good... Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating it! I hope your celebration is all that you hoped it would be, and that it adds another layer to the story of "This is Us". Because I am in Canada, and was not home for Canadian Thanksgiving this year, my page is about other traditions, featuring a couple of dgk's all ready to take in the Calgary Stampede, complete with hats and boots. traditions by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

They are too adorable!
Even though we'll be at my father-in-laws to celebrate Thanksgiving with DH side of the family, my picture will be of DH, myself and our three kiddos cause we will all be together for the first time since August, and I'm thankful!
