Happy Thanksgiving to those in the USA. To our other dinner peas Happy Thursday and may you find many blessings in your day. akathy, I'll leave a seat for you at our table and hope you're enjoying a great meal up there. What's for dinner? DUHHHHH! Though, not everyone is eating turkey tonight. What's on your menu? We go to dh's cousin's house every year where the food is varied and delicious. Aside from turkey and all the trimmings there will be Lumpia, Pancette(a noodle dish), sushi, Manju and other interesting dishes. I'm ready for Santa, but it's still Thanksgiving. Have a wonderful celebration if you celebrate and have a wonderful Thursday for all.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!! Praying your day is blessed with great food and memories I've got cranberry sauce cooking away in the crock pot. Made homemade rolls yesterday. We're going to the in loves house. There will be turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, ambrosia, pumpkin pie and monkey bread that I know of. There are 5 families coming so I'm not sure what else there will be.

No Thanksgiving here, though I did buy some turkey breast medallions, planning to have them with roast veggies for a mini-Thanksgiving dinner just for me - I just really like turkey, and this way I'm not cooking too much. But I forgot to start the veggies early enough, so I am heating up a frozen vegetable lasagne for tonight. The turkey will have to be for tomorrow.
P.S. I wish I was having turkey roast and all the trimmings, and pumpkin pie and all.

Happy Thanksgiving to my friends in the USA ... we had Thanksgiving here in Canada way back in October A question for you though ... it seems like Thanksgiving is a bigger holiday for some Americans than Christmas is ... do you think that's true for you? Here, Thanksgiving is not that big of a deal but Christmas is huge Tonight we're having Oven Glazed Chicken over egg noodles ... served with some raw veggies as well ... this is one of only two recipes I make that has canned soup as one of the ingredients

We're having turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, Broccoli Madeleine, cranberry freeze salad, rolls and pumpkin pie. It's also our 32 wedding anniversary.

Happy Thanksgiving to the US peas. I'm having homemade veggie burgers, dauphinois pototes, garlic asparagus and fine beans for dinner. But my partner comes home late on Thursdays so I'm really hungry!

Happy Anniversary, cadoodlebug . Best wishes for many, many more! Deep-fried turkey (dh does this part), mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes (only I eat these), dressing, dilly bread, green beans, fresh cranberry sauce, Jello (apples, oranges, cranberries in it), and gravy. Dessert is a chocolate chess pie with whipped cream. My favorite part is having leftovers for three days Thanks for the thread and for all the great vibes we all share on this thread. Kathy is so, so proud of us!

Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating!
We're having roast turkey, roast sweet potatoes, roast Brussels sprouts, old-fashioned green beans, corn on the cob, gravy, stovetop stuffing (for DH), cranberry (from a tin - jellied), cranberry jello salad. For dessert, DH picked up a chocolate creme cake from Publix - not quite what I had in mind but..

Thanksgiving is the biggest travel weekend in the US and is essentially a harvest festival celebration. Every culture has some sort of harvest festival so Thanksgiving is easy to embrace and relatable no matter what your cultural or religious background. Many schools have the whole week off and many employers close for a 4 day weekend. We eat our Thanksgiving dinner later than most, so will have a charcuterie board and bacon wrapped, almond stuffed dates to nibble on this afternoon. Dinner is deep fried turkey, bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, sauteed brussel sprouts with pancetta and onions and ginger glazed carrots. The gingersnap crust pumpkin cheesecake is made and waiting for a caramel sauce and whipped cream. Happy anniversary cadoodlebug! SaveSave

It's just the 4 of us today. I made banana bread for breakfast. For lunch was appetizers- crudités with dip, artichoke spinach dip with french bread toast round, rumaki, and relish tray. We've been playing Talisman - the longest board game ever since serving them, breaking only to walk the dogs.
We'll eat our turkey, sweet potato pie, cabbage, green beans, & rolls for dinner.
For dessert - pumpkin pie and pecan pie (for me).
Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving Peas!!
DD was working, DS is away on camp and DSO was at a mate's house so it was just me to worry about. I had leftovers from my MIL's Moroccan feast the other day. I thought DD would have polished it off by now but I was excited to find some still in the fridge.

We had stuffed mushrooms (made by me), roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, butternut squash, peas, honey ginger carrots, sweet potato soufflé (made by me), dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie (made by me...it's a no bake pie with a cream cheese layer, so yummy!), apple pie, blueberry pie and mincemeat pie. There was ice cream, whipped cream and Cool Whip to go on the desserts. There was hot mulled Apple cider, lots of wine, and egg nog. We had to take two cars so I couldn't drink but my sweet brother-in-law sent me home with a nice bottle of Italian Moscato. He buys far better wine than I do! My sister cooked and hosted and she LOVES Thanksgiving more than any other holiday. It was awesome! And the best part was that my Dad has new hearing aids and he could hear us! Happy Anniversary cadoodlebug and Mr. Cadoodlebug!❤️

My gosh I ate enough for at least two people. My youngest is home from school but stayed at his dads last night. He rolled up this morning with a 'surprise' for me... my oldest is in town. I haven't seen him since Christmas and that stinker was pretending he was still in Louisiana. I swear I burst into tears and sobbed like a big fat goof ball for five minutes before I could get hold of myself. I was just so damn happy. My mom did the same thing.
So food was normal thanksgiving and we all ate like pigs at the trough.
But the boy. I've missed him so much and it was the surprise that made the day go from good to absolute perfection. *giant heart filled with mama love*

Technically, I am eating a slice of Low Carb Pumpkin Cheesecake with a Pecan Praline Crust. I had a slice for breakfast, too! ☺️
We had the usual Thanksgiving fare. I actually made the Green Bean Casserole for the first time. No one in my household had ever eaten it before! The menfolk have put in a request for a repeat performance of it next year. So I think they liked it. I made the Creamed Mushroom from scratch and balanced it out with *canned* green beans. 😁 I also made Scalloped Potatoes (another first) which was a nice change from the usual mashed potatoes.
Anyway ladies, enjoy your food, enjoy your family and friends, enjoy your day whether it's Thanksgiving Day for you or not!
