I just assembled this using frozen green beans. I cooked them in the microwave before mixing them in. This is the first time I've ever made it.

When I used to make green bean casserole, I always used frozen and never pre-cooked them.

I absolutely hate green bean casserole with fresh or frozen beans, it tastes so nasty! Completely wrong flavor and texture combination!

I always cook them. Then (I know this is odd) I drain and squeeze out excess water before mixing them in.

My family doesn't make green bean casserole, I went to college out of state and the family I spent those Thanksgivings with made it and also squeezed out the excess!
