The doctor's office. I was there with the kiddo. I was not the sick one Lady beside me pulls out her food. Normally, I can take aromatic food. Not this. Smelled like rotten sauerkraut. I literally gagged. What the hell is wrong with people? Where else should you not eat smelly food?

Any where someone else is involuntarily subjected to the smell.

More specifically, fish and eggs. I sat close to a woman (to and from) Jamaica who brought enough of these to feed her family of five on the plane. They were in different aisles, so strangers had to pass the food around. I tried to get her to blow up (like Sheldon does on BBT), but it didn't work.

This is another example of where I'm happy that I'm a mum to teens and a SAHM who never goes on planes Does that cover all of the above?

That is definitely not a place for fish and eggs! I'd be grossed out.

One of my coworkers eats a can of plain tuna in his cubicle. It spreads through the whole office space. Yuck!

Who the hell is eating in the waiting room of a doctor's office?? That's weird.

My office at the hospital has a mini fridge and a microwave. The office down the hall, much larger room about 8 employees also has the same. Their microwave broke last week so they come and use mine. Those people eat some stinky shit. Last night at 3am one guy made popcorn in my microwave and burnt it. Had to smell that shit all damn night.

Breakroom at work is a NO IMO. Yuck! Especially the nasty smell of burnt microwave popcorn. That smell lingers FOR.EVER. Or tuna. Don't. Just don't.

Who the hell is eating in the waiting room of a doctor's office?? That's weird. I agree. I had someone on my Facebook get huffy because her medical condition requires her to eat, even if it means inoppertune places. But this woman is referring to munching on chips or some crackers or trail mix. MIL worked at a doctor's clinic and she said people would have an appointment on their lunch break, so she said she would often see a burger. That I still don't care about. I'm talking this smelled like very strong pungent, rotting sauerkraut. That is the closest I can describe the smell. Big difference.

State Board of Health regulations prohibit food in waiting rooms, exam rooms, etc. where I live. There are signs up on the front door of my FP doc's office. Even if you were allowed to eat food there... Yuck. The hand goes no where near the mouth (or face in general) until I have left and thoroughly sanitized my hands.

I worked in one office where there was a large, central break room for the entire floor. It was in the middle of the floor with no windows or ventilation. I vividly recall the day that abother department brought in a George Foreman grill and cooked salmon in there. I was pregnant at the time blech!

Who eats at the doctor's office anyway? That is just plain weird! Anywhere someone else would have to smell the stench is unacceptable - unless they are eating the same thing. Ugh! I am NO fan of sauerkraut!

DH and I had a woman eat something stinky, not sure what, in the ONCOLOGY waiting area. WTF? How can you not understand that cancer patients have a lot of issues with nausea? I wanted to bitch slap her. I don't know why I didn't go complain. I guess we must have been called next.

anywhere that is "close quarters". i used to take the bus (ie. public transit city bus) and this woman used to pull our her tupperware and a glass jar of milk. she would proceed to pour the milk into her cheerios and eat it on the bus. who would have thought cheerios smell?? i can assure you, they do. yuck.

I'm not sure everyone knows when they are eating smelly food. There is a pizza place near my shop called Pie Five. I can tell every time someone walks into my shop if they've just eaten at Pie Five. To me it smells like a cross between garlic and BO. Its awful. I like Pie Five, but now I'm afraid to eat there because I'm afraid I'll smell like that.

I was going to say anywhere that you can't open a window and/or turn on a fan. Our doctor's office is well signed in multiple languages that there is no eating or drinking in the waiting area.
