Ds is requesting homemade mac and cheese for thanksgiving. We are celebrating on Saturday. I need my oven, so I am looking for a good crockpot alternative.
Thanks!

I've made Trisha Yearwood's recipe many times and love it.

Honestly? I find Stouffer's mac and cheese to be the best for a crockpot. Every homemade recipe I've tried gets dried out in the crockpot. But Stouffer's maintains that creamy goodness every time. And by the time I buy all the ingredients, I save money buying the Stouffer's. They sell it in big party trays for about $15 at Target, but I've found it as cheap as $8 on sale.

I made our mashed potatoes last night and warmed them in the crock pot today. I asked my kids if they wanted home made mac and cheese or velveeta and they said they didn't care so velveeta it was! I have made this recipe before and it turned out pretty good- allrecipes.com/recipe/237311/slow-cooker-mac-and-cheese/
