Just poking around the Nordstrom sale tonight and ran across this sweater...oh and also note the price, and the fact that they're out of most sizes

It is true that you can make a lot of money raising Alpacas!

Ok ITA that it is sloppy as hell and WAY overpriced. But knowing it is made with baby alpaca yarn makes me want one for around the house and quite possibly grocery store runs. And if I had a kid I would drop them off at school in this and Ugg slippers. So soft! lol

You know, for such an expensive store as Nordstroms, they really sell some weird things! I have a couple of alpaca sweaters from trips to Peru, and while they are wonderfully soft and warm, they are also quite itchy.

I would like that sweater for when it's -30 here.
Moose, Alpaca! Moose, Moose, Alpaca! It's mandatory that I sing that song whenever I hear the word alpaca and now it will be stuck in my head all day long. I thank you for that.

I am a shorty mcshorterton. Pretty much every sweater I try on fits like that. The way styles are now it is hard to find things where the arm length isn't to my knees or could be worn as a dress. lol

But...but, it's 40% off. If I bought it I could brag about it on the monthly "good deals" thread.

I"m sure I'll be the only one, but I kind of like it. Coming from upstate NY originally, that's something I'd wear with other shirts under it, and I'd be toasty warm in the -30 wind chill! The price however, is terrible!

I live in Minnesota and there is no temperature cold enough for me to wear that sweater!

Finally, a top with sleeves sufficient in length to cover my ape arms!

Well, they've now made an 'Ugly Suit' too. Pants and jacket in a very garish print. I think one has penguins on red plaid fabric. Only sold in catalogs, surely, as no store would be willing to display the thing. Customers would block the isles standing around laughing and pointing.

I love alpaca, it's so lightweight and warm, but I could knit 10 sweaters that are much prettier than that one for the same price.

I've got you beat. DD tried on one at Marshalls last week that was just awful. (That's why she tried it on. She couldn't believe how bad it was). Long shaggy fur and light green with shearling collar. I wish I knew how to post a photo from mobile. This one was horrible. Even worse, the clearance price was $358! Yikes.

This sweater completely reminds me of a couple I wore in the 80's. I was shopping with DD and a niece last weekend. One was on the hunt for the perfect bomber jacket and the other a velvet dress for the holidays - I was having major flashbacks.
