Tonight is pizza night, since we're picking up our favorite pizza. Last night was a feast, but I'm headed to Santa. This weekend I get to pull out the holiday decor.
Is anyone even hungry? What's on your menu?
Have a great Friday. For those of you out shopping, may your bargains be plentiful.

No Black Friday for me. I'm happy to be home in my sweats and enjoy not doing much.
We'll have chili and cornbread tonight. Because our Thanksgiving is basically a big potluck at my SIL's house, we don't usually have any leftovers today. Tomorrow is the day I make the traditional Thanksgiving meal for just DH and myself. It's not too bad when you're just doing it for two. We enjoy another great meal and watch football most of tomorrow.

I'm not the least bit ashamed I wish we were having pizza... It's spaghetti and homemade rolls for us tonight. I'm tempted to go by my in loves house before lunch so I can snag some extra turkey for a sandwich LOL!

Marinated salmon and couscous. Quick and easy to make, which is a good thing today. Good thing about today is that I did survive my dentist appointment, so now I'm eating chocolate while DD has a horse riding lesson.

We have a turkey breast in the oven right now! 😁 I'm making mashed potatoes, gravy, and carrots. We brought home leftover sweet potato soufflé and pies from my sister's house so we'll have that too...and cranberry sauce out of a can as well! Have I ever mentioned how much I love turkey? I'm really looking forward to a turkey sandwich tomorrow!
Our Christmas decorating is just about done. I put the finishing touches on the tree this morning. We don't have anything outside except for the front door.

Today is the day the Christmas Markets officially open, which is one of my favourite days of the year. I had to go into town anyway to pick up some things for craft at Kinder over the next few weeks, so I took the chance to walk from there down the main pedestrian zone to the main market. It is all so lovely - the huge tree in the main plaza outside the Town Hall, the lights and most of all the smells - candied almonds, roasting chestnuts, gingerbread and most of all the Glühwein. I indulged in a mug at my favourite stall.
Dinner tonight is the turkey breast I bought for yesterday, with roast vegetables. Maybe something green if I can be bothered. Still just me, as DH is caught up in Lufthansa's strike, and can't get back from Sweden until tomorrow.

Slow cooker white chicken chili and we will have jalapeno cornbread with it. I'm taking fall decorations down while DH sets up the tree. Will take my time decorating this weekend.
I've been Black Friday shopping online for the few days. I need to stop!

Don't know.
We are driving around with an uncle who hasn't been here since 1997. Not sure if we will be out for dinner or not.
I know he wants to hit two local eateries. Italian place and a hotdog joint.

DH and I just got back from Macy's. Since DS is moving into his townhouse in January, he needs EVERYTHING. We grabbed some good doorbuster deals: pots and pans, a vacuum, knives in a butcher block and a hand-carry tool box at our local Ace Hardware where they were giving out free grilled hot dogs for lunch. Tonight is our ritual of eating exactly what we had for dinner last night since we have so many leftovers. Works for me and the clean-up is so much easier!

We're having our favorite pizza, even though the fridge is full of Thanksgiving leftovers. There will be plenty of time to get rid of them tomorrow and Sunday.
We're going to have a Hobbit/Lord of the Rings marathon while we eat, too.

Everyone can just fend for themselves around here. I just had a plate of leftovers for a late lunch, heavy on the turkey, stuffing & cranberry sauce, so think it will be a big slice of gingersnap crust pumpkin cheesecake for dinner. By the time we were finished eating and cleaning up last night I only managed to try a sliver. To fight off the desire for a nap, I've agreed to join DH on a trip to Best Buy. (crossing my fingers all the Black Friday early birds have gone home).

Both of the boys are off again out into the great wide world (well, sort of...they are both up north to go to the FL/FL State game and the older boy will fly home from there and the younger one will stay because that is where he is in school.) So all left overs are mine and no one else's. I had some for a late breakfast and will finish up the rest for dinner. And that will be the end of it. Tomorrow is back to reality.

grammanisi, the BRAT diet isn't fun, but it's a good way to get some nutrition w/o upsetting your tummy further. Hope you feel fine by tmw am.

Blech.... a sausage in bread AGAIN at my son's cricket match (DSO cooks sausages and hot dogs at the cricket every week). That's the 4th or 5th sausage I've eaten at the cricket in the last couple of weeks and I don't even really like them. Next Friday I am going to stop off at a Lebanese restaurant on the way home and get that instead.
