Debating on getting a 6in minc.
Anyone have one? Worth it or not? They are on sale at Joanns.

I have a 6 inch one and definitely think it's worth it. It's so easy to make your own embellishments! Especially if you are tech savvy/ a hybrid scrapper. I'm not really a fan of the actual Minc products to use with it (tags, labels, etc.) , as I've found all the ones I've bought have been cut crookedly and look horrible, but I've been having a lot of fun customizing a lot of my own digital supplies. I would also take into consideration if you have a LaserJet printer. I didn't at first and was just getting things printed at the Staples right by our house, but that was just a pain (not having instant access to what I wanted, and they kept not printing things correctly also). Since I bought my printer I've been getting way more use out of my Minc.

If you like the look of foil, YES, it's definitely worth it. And I have to agree that adding a laser printer has increased how much I use the Minc as well. It's a well used tool in my scrap room!

Yes. The one thing that I'd splurge on were metallic cards. With a Minc, I'm not buying a set for a few shiny words. I can DIY and make great use of my digi stamps and brushes too. Go for it!

I love my Minc. It was definitely a splurge and I should probably use it more than I do. When I do use it I am happy with the results.
Since telling my DH and oldest DD that it laminates I have been laminating every card they own! They love to have their business sized cards laminated. I don't know why but they do. FYI - you can get laminating material at Staples.

well, you've talked me into it! Before you order, get the extras - the toner sheets (to die cut minc-ready shapes), a liquid medium (for using with silk screens or stamps), and the labels & alphas are part of my DD stash this year. Happy Minc-ing!

I started with a laminator and bought a full size minc when SSS had them on a really good sale. i couldn't believe the difference. The minc is way way better.

I would love to hear your opinion of the minc vs. your laminator. I use my laminator and it works fine. But I wonder if the minc gives better results.

I have been on the fence with this myself since the original Minc came out. Now, after seeing it in action at some SCT magazine events, I want the 6" machine. Hard for me to find in Canada.. but I want one.

Hard for me to find in Canada.. but I want one. Try Scrapbook.com -- I got mine on sale (<50$USD) a few months back and with reasonable shipping, it wasn't too bad with the exchange rate. I did hear that they've raised their shipping rates, but it's worth checking out. You may want to see if Amazon.com has them as well; their global mail rates to Canada aren't too bad either. SaveSave

Hard for me to find in Canada.. but I want one. I have one LSS - and it's not even local because it's a 45 minute drive to get there - that carries the mini Minc. They do have an online store (One Crazy Stamper) and will ship it. BUT it's $95 CDN and that doesn't include shipping! My Michael's has the larger size on clearance for $99.
