The prompt for this Sunday is... HOME! Whether you travelled for the holiday and are returning to your own space and your own bed, or you have opened your home to family &/or friends this weekend and finally have it to yourself again, I know you are very thankful for your home. I am extremely thankful for having a home I love and being able to provide one for our kids when they were still here with us. Growing up, I had to go to boarding school and then board & room with others while in school, because we had no school bus for much of my education. I love this house! It has lots of space upstairs for visitors--family or friends--yet our daily living space on this floor is manageable. We have seated 16 people at our dining room table, but if we take the leaves out, it is a reasonable size. There is lots of space in the unfinished basement for storage of all the STUFF we have collected over the years, and lots of space for the dgk's to play with the toys I have kept from when their parents were kids. I have my own craft space which I love and appreciate. There is a covered deck out back where we spend a lot of time in spring and summer, and an attached garage for my vehicle. (Dh could keep HIS truck in the other half of the garage, but prefers to keep THAT half for his projects). Here is my page: Home by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
