Hmm these people have a sweet set up let's hope they don't listen to Tara because the saviors will take their shit.
However they would be numbers to take on the saviors.

I think Tara morally made the right decision but let's hope it doesn't come back to bite her!
So what happened to Heath do we think he survived?

But I've heard that viewership is declining, too. Personally, the humiliation and degradation is so palpable in this season that it makes it incredibly difficult to watch. I didn't watch last week's episode until Wednesday night. Maggie's storyline is so deeply heartbreaking. There was a meme that kinda brought it home for me. In it you see Maggie deep in grief and she is surrounded by the ghostly silhouettes of her father, her sister and Glenn hugging her. 😭 So, tough, very tough season to watch. But I also want to see them overcome. That is what keeps me tuning in week after week since the beginning of the show.

I do notice this thread has really died since the start of this season. I can't wait until our group gets payback! Maggie has gone thru so much it's hard to imagine overcoming all that!

I'm having hard time this season and I don't think it's going to improve. I think splitting the group into different locations is going to kill the ratings. And apparently they are still split up in the comics. Negan is a disappointment. I know the writers think he's the best thing ever, but it's not working for me and i assume a lot of others. He talks too damn much and would have been taken out by one of his followers by now. At least the Governor presented a genial front to his group to keep his position. Nobody would put up with Negan's crap. GAH, i love(d) this show and it's just not working now. I'm sad.

It reminded me a lot of how Quentin Tarantino writes dialogue for his characters. Which works for Tarantino. But it isn't working for Negan. And I'm thinking we're going to see A Bugs Life played out Walking Dead style. These ants are gonna realize there are more of them than there are grasshoppers.

Five minutes in and my husband has already commented that it's going to be a boring episode concentrating on just one character...who he didn't even remember was in the show.

So is the next episode going to be all about Heath?
I really like Cindy. I think we'll see more of her.
They have a lot of different story lines. Rick and the group at Alexandria, the Hilltop group, the Saviors camp, the Kingdom, and now the new group of women. That's a lot of jumping around. It reminds me of a daytime soap opera where after 4 or 5 episodes it gets back to the storyline you're really interested in. I like all of the storylines, but each episode leaves you feeling like the show didn't progress. Not sure if that makes sense lol.
I'm probably alone, but I like Negan. I wish the writers had more leniency to make him more like the comic character. I don't read the comics, but from what I've read about his character they've toned him down a lot.

For the comic book readers, was Oceanside in them? I'm curious if it was a one episode thing or they'll factor in later.
I liked the episode. This season really hasn't progressed but I'm enjoying watching each of our group and where they've ended up.

So who knows how things will go with them on the show. The story line has changed with this community quite a bit already.

I kind of thought this episode was boring .......... I did like a couple of the woman at the camp. I like Tara. I did not like how they told her about the people who had been killed. I think that should have been a bigger scene. I still love the show, but I kind of wish our group would leave and go back on the road. Maybe get out of Georgia.

I liked this episode, and usually I don't like the episodes that don't check in on the main group. I totally forgot about Tara and Heath (that's the guy she was with right?) being out there, but I remembered the characters as soon as they did the "previously on" and was happy to get back to them, I just think maybe they should've done it sooner. I really liked Tara's character, so I was happy to see her again, but was very sad when she talked about how great things with their group was because she didn't know all the horrible things that had happened, or that her gf was dead.
I liked Cindy's character a lot and hope we see more of her. My thought of what I want to happen/think would make a good plot, would be if we find out that Cindy's mom is actually alive and the saviors have her similar to Daryl. If somehow Tara finds this out, then goes back to them and proves it (maybe a polaroid?) and they will help hatch a plan to get Daryl and her back. Or most of the women will be too scared to come help, but Cindy will want to and her and maybe a couple of others will come with Tara to save her mom.
Definitely, at some point, all of the different groups need to come together to take down the saviors. I also think a flashback episode on Neegan, including who he was prior to the apocalypse, and how he got his current position, would be interesting. ETA: We ended the episode not knowing what happened to Heath, so I wonder if there will be another episode just about him at some point. Not sure I'm looking forward to that, his character was never as developed as Tara, so I don't really care about his story.
