I went to a few websites today where their home page had huge "CYBER MONDAY DEALS" splashed across it and it boiled down to free shipping or a 10% discount.
Talk about anti-climactic.

I know, right? I think Cyber Monday is dead. All the deals started last Wednesday.

That isn't much of deal. Everything at Land's End is 45% off today. That's a good deal.

I never thought cyber Monday deals were any good, nothing compared to the BF deals I've got at least.

I went to order from King Arthur Flour and it was free shipping after a $69 purchase, and pretty paltry discounts.

My big deal of the day was getting 4 Bistro Fiesta Ware place settings for a total of $35 after taxes from Kohl's, using their coupons for today (they allowed stacking) and then $60 in Kohls Cash I earned last week.
I also bought some nano drones (smaller than your palm) for toys for the boys and husband as Amazon Lightning deals.

Free shipping isn't too bad (had to turn down an Ali Edwards December Daily of Christmas Past deal because the item was $9.99 and the shipping was $9!!!!), but 10% off?!? Yeah, that's worth the hoopla </not>

10 percent off is not a deal at all. I am way underwhelmed.
I am still going to buy books from Amazon if they still have the holiday deal and use my Kohl's cash.

I agree that some sales weren't as great as in the past. But I did get 50% off (and free shipping) at Eddie Bauer.
Code is ONLINE50

Yep. That just makes it tax free for me. Not enough for me to pull the trigger on an impulse buy.

I've never gotten great deals on Cyber Monday. The last couple years the best deals on items I have been interested in have been offered the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

I've never found a great deal on cyber Monday, so I don't even bother looking anymore. Every clothing store I shop at had 50% off, cosmetics and skin care lines were discounted as well. I got a lot of deals, but was also surprised how many online deals there were on Black Friday. Mrs Meyers had 10% off and free shipping. That was enough for me to purchase from them. They sell $4 hand soap, why would they discount more? I'm too lazy to go to Target and this is the only brand I use because its green so I always take advantage of their rare sales.

Agreed about 10%.
Lands' End had 50% off on Friday, Monday, and extended it to today with an email code and PIN. Their website showed 45%, but the code worked.
Harry & David had a low % off, but I had free shipping with an email code so I saved more using that code (small order, but still).

I read an article this morning about the death of cyber monday. In the "olden days", lots of people only had access to the internet at work...which is why cyber monday became a big thing. Now, most people have access to the internet all the time, so retailers are spreading the deals out.

Now, most people have access to the internet all the time, so retailers are spreading the deals out. That is so true! I remember at my first job my co-worker told me she lost bidding on an item on ebay because the closing date was over the weekend. lol I only heard of Cyber Monday a couple years ago.
