My family is planning to play the game at Christmas where you have to open a wrapped box while wearing oven mitts. I'm trying to come up with a gift under $25 that will suit the wide variety of ages. These are the people who will be playing:
- My parents (66 and 68) who pretty much can buy whatever they want, are diabetic, and trying to scale back on the "stuff" that's in their home for an impending move to a retirement center.
- My sister (35, likes to camp, doesn't work) - Sister's husband (35-ish, they've only been married a year so I don't know him well other than he's very outdoorsy.) - 18 year old niece - me and DH
There's also the possibility that younger kids may want to play as well (13, 11, and 9).
All I can come up with is a gourmet hot cocoa and mugs. Or maybe a pair of movie tickets, but that won't take up much room in a box.
Any ideas?

I would go for something like this really funny evil bunny. I don't know that your parents would appreciate it, but it cracks me up every time, and I bet the 9-18 year olds would fight over it. Be sure to triple wrap whatever you bring!

If you do the movie tickets pick up a container that looks like a popcorn bag. I've seen them at Target in the dollar area or at dollar stores. You can add popcorn, (sugar free) candy, sobe's.…

I like the movie ticket idea. Or a favorite local restaurant. Or lots and lots of lottery scratch-offs. Anything small should be wrapped in layers and layers of bubble wrap inside the box!

The Kohls throw. They're so soft and everyone seems to love them.

Maybe a game? Telestrations or Scattergories. Fun for all ages.

An auto open/close umbrella with a cool pattern. It's one of those things I need but never think to pick up for myself and I like to keep one in each car and my office. They get forgotten, broken, lent out so it's not big deal to have extras.

I just bought a circular saw pizza cutter on Amazon from Fred & Friends for a white elephant gift exchange. Fred and Friends is a good neautral gift brand.
