Watch out for that kid getting an Oscar in twenty years' time.

I'm disappointed we didn't get to see Barbie or the carpet.

Awww. I feel bad for her and yet I'm laughing all at the same time. I can imagine her panic when she couldn't get it off.

That poor thing. I just want to scoop her and her blue Barbie up and hug them.

I think she is precious and her reasoning is adorable.
On the other hand, I want to tell that dad a blue Barbie is no big deal. They are what $15? Let her play with her blue Barbie.
She's little and made a mistake.
This is coming from 19 years of experience. I so wish I would have chilled out about the not important stuff when my kid was little. It's just stuff.

It sounds to me like barbie isn't the only thing that ended up being blue.

LOL. It IS just stuff, but I think he handled it pretty well. He didn't get angry or raise his voice. There is something to be said for teaching kids to take care of their things and be responsible for them while they're still little like that. I was over at SIL's house chatting with her last week while DH was was fixing something for her. One of her cats came up and started clawing the crap out of the edge of a newish (but dirty) upholstered dining room chair, which had to have been purchased within the last year. Me: Naughty kitty! Knock that off! SIL: Meh, whatever. We got cheap ones because if the cats don't wreck them the kids will. I figure once the pets and kids are out of the house I can get nice furniture. I'm still trying to teach the kids not to wipe their hands on the chairs. It's a process. Me: OR, you could just teach the kids to respect your things in the first place. I mean really, her kids are THIRTEEN AND FIFTEEN, and they still wipe their hands on upholstered furniture? My six year old stopped doing stuff like that when she was about 3-4. Sheesh.

What a cute video. I wonder how hard the dad was laughing on the inside? It sounds like Barbie must have just finished watching Avatar! 😀
