I find I go on line for just about every recipe and I download and keep any I really like.
I haven't opened an actual cookbook in about 5 years.

I'm like you, I use the internet for finding recipes. That doesn't stop me from buying them when I'm at a thrift store, especially the fundraising/church cookbooks.

Yes, they are the type of actual book I buy most frequently. I love reading about the various regions and cultures and looking at the pictures in addition to the recipes. Yesterday I cooked from one of my newest books Taste Of Persia. Even had to research local Persian markets to find some new ingredients.

I look up most of my stuff online now. I pin a lot.
I also live in a rural area, and my internet goes out on a fairly regular basis. When it is out - it is usually out for several hours. That is when the cooking crisis usually starts!
I still have a huge recipe box to refer to. Old school!

Yes. I don't like walking across the house to read the recipe on my computer, my printer ink is not waterproof, and I don't like using my phone in the kitchen...
DH uses the computer, and about every 30 seconds asks me to go check his recipe for him. I'd rather just use a cookbook...

I still love a real cookbook although it takes a lot to add one to my small collection. The most recent adds were 2-3 years ago: Paleo Cooking from Elana's Pantry from Elana Amsterdam and Against All Grain by Danielle Walker. I always check out books from the library first and both had enough recipes that I tried and liked that weren't available of their websites/blogs.

I have a few cookbooks that I keep and use still (Betty Crocker and Good Housekeeping) and 'some' more that I keep for nostalgia.
My recipes are stored on my computer and printed out and in 3-ring binders in page protectors - that's what I actually cook from most of the time

I have a small collection of cookbooks that were local fundraisers where farm/church wives entered their favorite recipes. I still use those. But I haven't added a cook book to my collection in about 15 years. If I can't find what I want in my current collection I go online. If I like the recipe I save it to a folder on my hard drive.

I have some basic cookbooks I won't give up but I haven't used in awhile. I have a recipe box with a lot of favorites. But I'm finding myself using Pinterest to find and organize recipes. If we really love it, I add it to the recipe box I screenshot the ingredients and directions with my phone and then look at that while cooking. If it's not a success I delete the recipe from pinterest

Yes I do. I have Chrissy Teigen's cookbook on my Christmas list. Ina Garten is a favorite of mine when I want something easy but also elegant.

I do buy them, but I rarely use them. I tend to get my recipes off the internet before I'll crack open a cookbook

I don't really buy new cookbooks, but do refer to the ones I own on occasion. I wanted to get the new Ina Garten cookbook, but convinced myself I would probably never really use it. For new recipes, I mostly refer to cooking blogs, pinterest or other website sources. This summer I went through and got rid of a big stack of all the cookbooks I'd never used or didn't care for. Most of them were those spiral bound cookbooks some school/church/organization did as a fund raiser. They were all given to me as gifts and I never really used any of them.

No, I don't want any more "clutter" in the house that I won't use.
I love to print out or save recipes on pinterest. I have had issues with pinterest the past year getting some bug on my computer, so I only go on pinterest occasionally, then print the recipe so I don't have to go back on pinterest for it. So frustrating because I love pinterest and used to spend so much time pinning recipes!

I am getting more particular about which ones I keep but I do refer to them. I look at a computer screen most of the day. I find opening a book relaxing -- but I am 56 and grew up with books as my main form of entertainment so appreciate books of all kinds.

Nope.
In fact, I don't think I've ever bought a cookbook. I had some given to me when I first got married, but I don't think I've ever bought one myself.

I got rid of most of my old cookbooks a few months ago. I do like to buy cooking magazines and tear out my favorite recipes. I have bought a number of Instant pot recipe books!

I really don't and I should really go through and purge most of my cookbooks because they are just taking up space and collecting dust. I used to like to read them but now I usually just look something up on-line as I can get reviews and read them to see any comments they have made about a recipe. If I plan to use recipe I do actually print it out as I don't like trying to cook looking at a recipe on my phone or iPad.

I love cookbooks though it's been a while since I bought one. I like to flip through while meal planning, I like the pictures, and I really don't like having to look at my phone a hundred times when trying a new recipe.
I do use my phone to look stuff up, but I don't prefer it.

I love cookbooks! I have to stop myself from buying more. I actually use them, too! It's easy to see which recipes are my family's favorites because the pages of the cookbooks often have stains on them. :-)
I want the cookbook by Damned Delicious for Christmas.

yes, I don't cook much anymore but I don't have computer near kitchen and don't print much. new printer not even set up yet and I've had it a few weeks. I do use the computer to look up some and have several folders of them on my DD. I have a good amount of them from PW, Wolfgang, Emeril and misc others. I have a 'cookbook' binder (for 4x6 cards) that I'll print up and insert recipes I like and will remake.
while I plan to get rid of many cookbooks I have, I also plan to buy 1 or 2 new ones. 1 for the air fryer and maybe 1 for the wonder pot (1 pot cooking / but not pressure cooking).

Both! Lol
I love a good cookbook!
I'll go to the bookstore and check them over first though to see if I'll really use it.
When we moved 2 + yrs ago, I purged over 100 cook books.

I don't with the one exception of Pioneer Woman cook books. In fact I have gotten rid of all my books except hers and better homes and garden. But honestly the only two recipes I use in BH&G are the chili and the banana bread. So I should probably get rid of that too. I use the internet for most of my recipes.

I rarely use recipes, but the book I use most often is joy of cooking. I have really really good memory for recipes. So good that the people I worked for were afraid that I would give out their recipes when we parted ways. ( I should have).

My husband, who loves to cook, collects them. We have too many around here. I prefer to use the cookbooks because I can remember which book had the good recipe for ____.
