Baked Denver omelet Monkey bread Fresh fruit We have no pregnant or nursing mommies this year so maybe I'll add mimosas for DDs and me. I'd love a grit casserole recipe if you happen to have your aunt's, farmdpea?

We did a Christmas brunch in place of a traditional Christmas dinner last year and loved it, so we're doing it again this year.
We'll have homemade cinnamon rolls, biscuits and sausage gravy (also jam for those who don't like gravy), mini bagels with a few different flavors of cream cheese, fresh fruit, and candied bacon.
For the bacon, lay the strips out on a baking sheet covered with foil. Sprinkle with brown sugar and freshly cracked black pepper. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Check to see if the bacon is done and the sugar has caramelized. Cook for a little longer, if not.

I usually just do cinnamon rolls and juice, but my mom-in-law likes to drop by on Xmas morning and she always brings a breakfast casserole of some sort.

We do Christmas brunch at my sister's house instead of dinner. The core of the menu is overnight French toast casserole, bacon, breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, rolls, fruit salad, omelette muffins, and mimosas. If my BILs family comes, they bring a breakfast pizza. Last year, more people were there so we added sausage, ham & cheese stromboli type sandwiches made with crescent rolls, blueberry & banana nut muffins. Plus there's cookies and other desserts. It's a feast.

We do two overnight breakfast casseroles, one sweet and one savory. I put them together after CE dinner, then take them out the next morning while preheating the oven. Then we open stocking gifts while the oven is heating up.
My parents come over and while they are cooking we open gifts, then we eat breakfast.

These all sound so wonderful!! We do whatever candy shows up in the Christmas stockings! We usually have cinnamon rolls too! In our defense, we leave the house by 10am to head to my Dad's which is where most of the food is and we usually eat around 1pm.

Everyone's breakfast sounds so good - I'm going to have to borrow some of your ideas!
The only thing on our menu every year is a raspberry cream cheese coffee cake. I got the recipe years ago from someone on dMarie (I wish I remember her name - it was something-mom I think)and we've had it every year since then. I usually make a savory dish as well but we haven't really found one that everyone says, "Oh you have to make this one again next year," so I'll keep changing it up until we find that "perfect" dish!

It's my favorite combo! Apricot jam and pecans is a close second. I've never done it before, do you follow a recipe or just wrap the brie, bake and serve jam and nuts on the side with crackers? Before you wrap the Brie wheel you put the jam on top and sprinkle it with the pine nuts. Wrap the Brie in the puff pastry and brush it with egg. Bake at 400 for about 30 minutes till the pastry is golden. Then DIG IN! Here's the recipe I base it off of, I just change up the fillings as I want. www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-baked-brie-in-puff-pastry-226326

It's our tradition that the family with the youngest kids serves breakfast. That way, we can all see what Santa brought and the children don't have to be separated from their toys. My aunt has been hosting for almost 20 years now, and puts out a huge spread: breakfast casserole (the one with bread/sausage/eggs that soaks overnight) grits casseroles (usually at least 2, because this goes fast) monkey bread sliced oranges sausage/cheese/Bisquick balls cheese straws biscuits with jam on the side I'm sure there is more, but she always serves such a good breakfast that we want to skip lunch! We did that in dh's family when the kids were little! I dreaded that tradition when our kids were small because I really didn't want to have to come up with breakfast for all of those people. 😳

Probably quiche, brie in puff pastry with fig jam and pine nuts, fruit, and I'm not sure what the sweet item will be yet. Im hoping it's cold so I can make some wassail too. Just don't mess up what you're making or you'll be an asshole.

We usually have Monkey Bread and either a breakfast casserole I make the night before or Belgian Waffles along with bacon or sausage.
Typically there are snacks throughout the day - until the big feast!

We go out to eat as a family at Waffle House. If you haven't experienceed a Waffle House, it's hard to explain. For more than 20 years my FIL has a tradition of leaving a $100 bill under his plate as a tip. We run out as quick as we can so we can watch the waitress' face. The rest of us secretly pay the bill of another table. It brings us all joy. We try to hit a different Waffle House every year.

We usually just do cinnamon rolls.
Since last Christmas, the vegetarian has gone vegan, one omnivore has gone vegetarian and is heading towards vegan, and another omnivore can no longer have gluten. I think I'm going to hit up the nearby allergy-friendly bakery and get some cinnamon coffee cake and doughnuts.

This is one of the best Christmas ideas I've ever heard. What a lovely treat to other people. I want to make my mom's Schneck and pecan rolls. I will have to get the recipe from my sister. Those were always a treat for us on holiday mornings.

Fruit stolen, using a recipe my mom gave me decades ago from a fabulous German bakery on Long Island NY. I make two huge loaves of stolen on Christmas Eve and everyone digs in first thing Christmas morning. DH and the kids eagerly await this annual treat and the first loaf (and sometimes most of the second loaf) is snacked on until dinner (roast beef and Yorkshire pudding). DH just commented last night that he wants four loaves this year. Lol, it's nice to be appreciated.

For breakfast, I slice panettone for French toast and then we have a bunch of appetizers starting around 11 until the big meal at 4 or so.

We usually do smoked salmon on croissant and champagne. ( I prefer my mimosa's without the OJ) We will be at my sisters in NYC, she will be away. So I don't know... we'll see. No trouble finding Grade A of all those items in NYC. Sounds wonderful.

My family is 1/2 & 1/2 (Jewish & Christian, that is!) so for Christmas morning, we do the full-on bagel spread with a variety of cream cheese flavors, smoked whitefish, lox, capers, tomatoes, onions, and of course, mimosas. Several hours later we do a full-on Christmas Prime Rib dinner. This year we will also fry up some latkes since Hanukkah & Xmas overlap. Oh how I LOVE the holidays!!! Each & every one of them lol!!!

Iwe usually do the typical eggs, French toast, hash browns and bacon. This year though I know will be snit rushed so I'm thinking of trying one of the French toast casseroles I've seen on Pinterest either in the oven or crockpot. If anyone has tried one I'd love to know how it was.

We travel and my mom isn't big on cooking, so cereal for us. We would be happy to make something, but she doesn't want anyone messing up the kitchen since we have about 15 of us for Christmas dinner. Maybe I could use these ideas for New Year's breakfast, the only holiday that we don't have to travel and are home!
