We are having a Christmas brunch at work Thursday and I am planning on making this sausage and cheese grits dish. Can I get everything ready to go into the oven tonight, and then bake it Thursday morning? (I would refrigerate until then, of course.) Or no because of the eggs?

Your link comes back to here. Just a guess wihtout seeing the recipe but egg cassaroles normally keep well overnight in the fridge.

That recipe, I'd do all the prep except adding the grits. I'd mix everything together and put in the baking dish. Then in the morning stir in the grits and bake. Only because they are the quick cook type and may disintegrate overnight in the liquid and lose that texture.

I have a group meeting :/ SaveNow that I've thought about it, I do mix the egg mixture for my Thanksgiving breakfast casserole on Tuesday evening and put it together and cook it Thursday morning (it has a hash Brown base- that's why I can't put it together until the morning of. The only thing I have found is that it seems to thicken up, so I usually add a few more eggs the morning of- that may just be because of the other ingredients though. So, in short, I think you can mix it in a bowl minus the grits tonight, then add the grits and bake Thursday morning.
