just wondering if any fellow peas are signing up for OLW 2017? If so, do you have your word selected? Have you taken the class in years past?
I have been taking OLW for 5 years, i think. I signed up again this year and I chose no as my word. As in, no is a complete sentence, no excuses etc.

I no longer sign up for any classes that are a repackaging of a previous year's. Unless there is significant fresh content, for me, it's a waste of money. If I have any desire to create an album, I'll review the class content I purchased 3 years ago.
If there is a word for me in 2017, it hasn't made itself known to me yet.

I signed up for sct 365 a year long on line class with Scrapbook & cards today. Don't think I will sign up for any other classes, just activities that are shorter term

I have my word but seeing how I didn't follow through with this past year's class I'm going to just go back through 2016 and do those prompts.

I signed up last year but my word was not a verb (my word was Words) so I didn't do many of the prompts although I did do a lot with my word (wrote a lot, read a lot etc) This year I am still choosing a word, I haven't decided if I will just look through last years prompts or sign up again...
The word at the top of my list at the moment is light. I want to lighten up (stop reading political and depressing news), get lighter (weightwise), be a light to others (as in brighten their day) and lighten my load (as in get rid of stuff so I don't have so much to clean).
Also on the short list: shine, bright, joy, happy, and sparkle. I have the general idea I'm looking for, I just need to decide which word sums it up best... or if light is the one.

My word for 2016 has been "lighten" as in getter lighter (losing weight) and also lightening my load (clear out the clutter and hoard, but also lighten my mental load and expectations). It was a very successful word for me (I lost over 25 lbs and have kept it off! Still working on the clutter but made a lot of progress). I wasn't as successful with the class though. Made it through April and then fizzled on the documenting part. I too am debating whether or not to sign up again. The digitals would be nice (esp. since I'm a bit disappointed in the OLW product offerings - just underwhelmed since I was expecting to love everything and want to buy it all.) but it's still a bit pricey for essentially a repeat of content. If there was an alumni option for lower price, I definitely would sign up.

I was a total fail at OLW 2016 so I've got all my supplies if I decide to jump in this year. Honestly, I've never done a project where I was the primary focus - I think that's why I never started. I'd love to hear if anyone felt like it led to some sort of enlightenment at the end, as I'm guessing it's supposed to.

merry, thats probably why I love this project so much! small time investment, but big pay off (at least for me). I often forget to care for myself, but the once a month prompt says to me "hey...do this small thing..." I have created some (hopefully) lifelong habits as the result of some of my past words!

I've never done OLW. I am thinking about signing up for Cathy Zielske's yearlong class Fit 2017. It combines scrapbooking and trying to live a healthier life. I want to do both of those things. Has anybody tried it before?

I chose a word last year but never followed through. I did sign up for the class, as it's my first year doing the class.

I did the class 2 years ago but didn't feel like I could justify the price last year. I still chose a word and told myself I could access the materials from the previous year... but do you think I did? Nope. I kept my word in mind all year, but without the interaction of the class I didn't do much with it. The previous year I did every prompt and got quite a bit out of it, but the Facebook group really annoyed me after a while and AE's boards aren't/weren't very functional (no way to tag people or know if you got replies, etc, so no real conversation).
So I'm uncertain this year. It's not too much money as long as I don't get sucked in to buying products, but it would be better if I could use the old class materials - if there was some way to prompt myself. I'm not a fan of the parent company AE works with (you SC thread folks know all the reasons why) so I'm loathe to give them any money. I already have an idea what my word will be anyway.

This past year was my first year doing OLW, and while I didn't actually do all the prompts, I felt like I still got a lot out of my word (Choose). I was pretty aware of it for most of the year. I at least watched the video in the classroom each month, even if I didn't get around to actually doing the prompts. I'm going to sign up for the class again this year. To me, even if there are months with similar (or exactly the same) prompts as last year, I think I'll find it useful. And even if the prompts are similar or the same, Ali still does a presentation (and sometimes process video, depending on the prompt), so that is worth something to me. Access to the Facebook group is of value to me too. I also just know that I wouldn't go back through the prompts myself if left up to it. I haven't decided 100% yet, but I'm pretty sure my word for this year will be Happy

Haven't done it before and it's not something that really interests me. I'll have a lot of scrapping to do what with my 6 week vacation plus still working on travel photos from the 90s. Maybe something for the future when I don't have so many other things in the go.

I will probably sign up again this year. I find I have little follow through when I try to do it on my own. I also do best when I make my word visible as a reminder. My word for 2017 will be strength--both physical strength/health related and inner strength with some personal challenges coming up.

I signed up in 2016 but didn't follow through. I've already signed up for 2017. I've been thinking about my word. I think I know what I'm going with, but I'm not completely sure yet. I'm going to read through Susannah Conway's Find Your Word thing first. Find Your Word 2017 It's a 5-day email class to help you figure out your word.

Maybe something for the future when I don't have so many other things in the go. It's not exactly a scrapping project. I mean it could be if you buy the kit, do all the prompts (one per month), and wanted it to be. It could also just be picking a word and keeping it in the back of your mind all year...

I've never done the class and don't plan to this year but I've picked words for the past several years and am hoping the right word comes along for 2017. I pick a word and a quote and try to apply it during the year. I really struggled with my word this year (Joy) because it's been such a hard year in so many ways - finding joy amidst the sorrow and pain and struggle has really been a challenge but I think it has been helpful to have the word in the back of my head and to try to find (and give) Joy.
2016 was Joy "today I choose Joy" 2015 was Motivate "What you do today can improve all your tomorrows."-Ralph Marston 2014 was Simplify "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." - William Morris

I have my word but seeing how I didn't follow through with this past year's class I'm going to just go back through 2016 and do those prompts. Me too. My word for 2016 was "now" because i am so bad about procrastinating. I was so determined to change and end my bad habit. Then after the first month's OLW lesson, I procrastinated and never did anymore lessons...oh, the irony.

I love the idea of OLW. And have taken the course a few times. I just never complete it. I think I'm going to choose a word put it somewhere in my craft room so I can see it and go through a few prompts from previous OLW classes.
