So download the app on my galaxy and it tells you how to get your purchased itunes music?

I didn't think there was a way for you to get music and apps purchased through the iTunes store or App store.

Great question, I'm thinking about switching too and wondered about my music. I know apps don't transfer but I better be able to use all the music I've paid for the past 5 years

Google android app for itunes. Several solutions come up. I was looking into this too, but haven't done it yet. I love my SG4.
I've had it since December and just today I found lots of emoji's by long pressing the microphone on the standard keyboard.

You don't have download an app. Plug your phone into your computer with a usb cable (the computer your iTunes is on). Open the music folder on your PC, open the music folder on your Samsung. Drag and drop! It's that simple!!!!

I've been able to transfer music to my husband's galaxy from itunes. But only music that was added from a disc. Not songs that were actually purchased via itunes

Not songs that were actually purchased via itunes It's probably going to depend on when you purchased it. Has to do with DRM versus non-DRM. I have some songs I couldn't transfer that way, but if you burn them to disc, then re-import them, you'll be good to go.

You can convert any music in itunes to mp3 files and then transfer those to your new phone (or any other non-apple phone or music device in the universe). Like tracylynn mentioned if it's before a certain date of purchase drm may prevent you from converting in itunes but I've been doing it for quite a few years now.

You don't have download an app. Plug your phone into your computer with a usb cable (the computer your iTunes is on). Open the music folder on your PC, open the music folder on your Samsung. Drag and drop! It's that simple!!!! This is how I got music on my phone and DH's phone. We both have G3's. I opened my WMP on the computer and the music I had purchased on itunes opened then. There is a sync box on the left. You will see your device. Find a song and drag it. You then click sync. Bang!! You've got music. No converting. No app.

wmp = Windows Music Player. I don't think you'll have that on your Mac.
I just asked DH and he said you could probably take the microSD card out of the phone and put in into your computer, then drag your iTunes playlist into the music folder on the card. Then put it back in the phone and open your music app and it should work. (He's pretty handy with music, but no guarantees on this method.)
