My kitchen aid stripped a gear a month ago.
Two weeks ago our dishwasher control panel went out.
On Tuesday my husband's car broke down.
I'm done now, right? That's three. If something else happens I think I'm going to need a padded room. We were able to get dh's car fixed, but the dishwasher and mixer have to wait until after dd's wedding. Her budget is currently so tight that if we fix the dishwasher we have to cut the guest list by 30 guests (very, very difficult because it's already bare bones. It's hard since dh and I have 80 family members on the list including only our parents, siblings, and their children) or go without flowers entirely (and what bride wants to walk down the aisle without a bouquet?)
sigh.

Oh gosh. Hugs! I will tell you that I had my mixer repaired. If you go to their website, they have authorized repair shops listed. It was pretty inexpensive, especially considering the alternative of buying a new mixer. And it's been going strong ever since! Hopefully there's a place in your area.

Alissa, I do know there is an authorized repair place, but it's an hour away from me. Part of the reason I won't get that repaired right now is it would involve two 120 mile round trips during the day. I can't spare the time and until this week I didn't have a car to do it with.
Dh's car decided to die two days after dd got a car.

I'm so sorry! It does seem like everything breaks down at once, doesn't it?

I think I'd look at it as over and done with and that things would be looking up from here on out.

Oh I didn't mean to go do it now! I bet you have just a little bit going on with a wedding! Just wanted to make sure you knew there was a cheaper way to get it repaired. I had to drive 6 hours roundtrip for mine to get repaired. Well, DH did. Luckily he had a work thing to do in that area so he dropped it off one time and picked it up when he was back in the area a few weeks later. So sorry you have the extra stress! Are you making your DD's gown?

Oh my gosh. Bad things do usually happen in threes, and they usually happen at the worst possible time. Sorry for all that you are going through. Hope things are better from here on in.

thanks. I hope things pick up from here. IT's been a pretty stressful year all around for me, so this isn't really helping things. I am making the dress. The work on that is going well, but it's much slower than I wanted to be. It will be gorgeous when it's done; I just have to work faster. LOL. But hey, I'm halfway through the scone baking. That's something, right?

Awww! I'm sorry. That really is way too much to deal with given everything else that is going on. I hope that it is smooth sailing for you here on out.

Yep... You've met your quota of bad luck for the year! Please post pics of the dress when you finish it, if love to see it.

As someone else said, "When it rains, it pours!" The bad things always seem to happen at the worst times, too. You just have to focus on making it through today! Best of luck...things will get better!

I'm a firm believer in that adage, so I'm going with yes, you are done!
Hang in there, buy some more Dawn (your daughter definitely needs flowers) and have a great time at her wedding!
